@JohnLennonsSexSlave If it's done right then blinking is just normal. Since monolids are usually caused by excess fat/skin, the eyelid can still close even if it's taped up. Taping/glueing the eyelid up just makes it double lid. If you were to remove the excess fat and skin, the monolid would become a double lid and still close properly.

i think this is completely pointless. I'm asian and i have a double lid, but i think mono lids are beautiful!

i think asians are pressured to look more "Caucasian" even though monolids make them look pretty and exotic.

Well, for people like me, I'm asian and I have one double lid and one mono lid. The photos look horribly... uneven, and since making the double lid into a mono lid is not a viable option, this eyelid glue stuff is pretty valuable. Not pointless.

double eyelid is all about giving yourself a more energetic look. some asian have extremely small eyes and that makes them look tired even though when they're not.

Not really.. a lot of us just hate looking sleepy constantly when we aren't sleepy.

The monolid is simply an excess amount of fat/tissue on the eyelid. It's like getting a breast reduction when your breasts start to sag or get too big. I have a monolid and I'm asian, but every other member of my family has double lids. I was just born with more fat on my eyelids!

It's when there is a crease in your eyelid. Some people don't have a crease in their eyelids at all. So it's just smooth skin on their eyelids, from their eyeball to their eyebrow.

You can find the stuff at ebay for cheap. I use it to fix my lazy, droopy right eye, which without the glue would close completely. :( It's a necessary thing for me. Surgery at the moment isn't an option due to costs. A small 2 oz bottle, for me, last for four months. There are larger bottles, but I fear the constant opening and closing of the bottle over time will cause the glue to lose its potency. I hope this helps and best of luck.

i have the same problem. I haven't tried these kinds of glue but it will probably work. If you look carefully, you will notice that the bigger fold actually has one extra line compared the the smaller fold one. So, in principle, since this glue creates another fold it should work for you. Finding the phantom fold will be a bit tricky tho...

I do think that's the great attitude to have! Having said that, it is much like make ups. For me, I'm a costumer, so I need to do certain things to change the feature of my face when I'm in a costume, and things like this are very helpful.

I don't really see the point of doing this daily though. Then again, I don't even wear makeups most of the time.

What I find much more perplexing and infuriating is all these people making comments about "omg why arent you happy with the way you are".

Why judge others for how they feel about their own appearance? We don't judge people for wanting to drop a few pounds or colouring their hair. Why all this hype about eyes?? For people with true monolids, using products like this simply brings out their lash line, which helps make eyeliner, etc, more visible.

I've already tried this kind of glue, but it won't last long under humid weather, and it doesn't even work on thick-eyelid people (like me).

Try taping them instead, and it's better than applying such chemical material on your eyelid!

Not permanently I think but, there is another product that grips the eyelid in a sort of mini vice for a few minutes so that a crease is created in the eyelid after the eyelid is released from the grip.
