it's weird... it sounds like he's actually trying to sound like that. every once in a while his actual singing voice slips out and it sounds good for a note and then it's like he switches back to the hoarse voice. it's kinda strange

If you notice the time (7:48 AM) it's easy to understand why he sounds a bit rough. As a performer myself I know how hard it can be some days to have your voice warmed up that early, especially if you just played a show the night before. Give him a break.

I totally have to agree with most of the comments here, although I appreciate their writing skills...this is absolutely horendous! This is the sad part about being able to walk into a studio with a song, record, and come out sounding like you have a soulful voice...when you clearly don't. Not to offend the fans of these guy's, but come ON...this is just plain BAD!

alot of the time people sound alot different when they sing loud compared to when they sing an acoustic cover or in a confined space where the guitar doesn't exactly cover them up, i know i definately sound alot different when i sing acoustic songs, but when im jamming with my band i sound alot better and the rock voice really shows
