  • Why can't we share these videos?

  • In soviet russia superman punch you!

  • I think that not jumping does indeed makes all punches more powerful, but the purpose of the jump with the superman punch might still have some use, perhaps throw the opponent off guard or even get a higher striking angle?

  • i dont need the superman punch, i AM a superman!

  • Finally! Someone that knows the purpose of this technique! I see so many retarded fighters throwing it, hoping it will work! Even in boxing, I've seen it tried once or twice. The whole purpose is to make your opponent try to block your "kick", but in boxing they don't have to worry about the kick. Even in UFC, they throw it, but they jump (sometimes they should, sometimes they shouldn't), but most of the times they won't actually "set it up" properly.

  • the master of thug jitsu...yves edwards

  • How many pro fighters and or high level MMA coaches are commenting on here? Just wondering because I'm reading so many expert opinions.

  • superman punch is supposed to be powerful. This guy isn't even thinking about power, just set ups for more weak moves.

  • @VillaOctavia i agree.i think the superman is way more powerful when ur elevated actually.thats when it can ko sum1 but the 1 in this vid will more than likely not ko anybody

  • @jas108 uhh.. since when do you need to jump to throw a powerful punch...?

  • @jas108 I disagree. Yves Edwards Tko'ed Derrick Noble and Nick Agallar with this technique.

  • @VillaOctavia Don't agree on that. He knocked out Nick Agallar with this and stunned Derrick Noble with it on his way to a tko.

  • 0:25 look how cole miller (left) eats his BUGGERS!!!!

  • thats alot of bobs lol

  • @ppeanut100

    lmao,you know it,LOL

  • if i saw somebody try that i would just parry his arm and toss him. throwing your weight in front of you is a sure fire way too get tossed

  • @dbspaceoditty it is but the superman punch ive found works only when their rocked, only the really anxious fighter is gonna come out throwing them.

  • @berglovesyou i guess i take the same risk with tornado kicks. if ive got somebody gaurding im gonna hit them as hard as i can with my leg. either im breaking something or they are gonna flip me

  • @dbspaceoditty tornado kicks are a bit different cause your positioned different afte a tornado kick, but honestly if someone came out in the first round of a fight at me with a tornado kick id probly fall for it. but overusing it gives away your variation.

  • @dbspaceoditty You can think that, but when you've got GSP in front of you nailing superman jabs at will, you'll find out quickly that it's a lot easier said than done.

  • @pearcemark2 if im about to go up against gsp im grabbing a gun or a baseball bat!

  • good acting by his partner lol

  • In the ground it is more powerful but,in the air it is an attempt to surprise the opponent...thats only my opinion, just it :)

  • the best way to learn superman punch... other videos´ show a easy way to lower your punch power but this not

  • très bon

  • i always wondered why they threw those jumping superman punches.. they always looked so silly and flashy.

  • i learned it so you get airborn but i can see why staying on the ground is better now...thanks guys

  • great video. simple and to the point

  • i call it the superDAN punch after mr. hendo

    lol

  • haha I don't want a half naked guy fallin on me

  • Great advice good technique.

  • No, it is not.

  • dude just watch GSP do superman . . . and u cant say that he is doing it wrong cuz he is one of the best P4P fighter in the world (after Anderson Silva) . . .

  • Regardless of how GSP does it, staying on the ground makes the punch more powerful. It's all about fight mechanics, which you obviously know nothing about.

  • nice

  • Why are the white dudes legs sooo skinny?

  • Because thats how he was born? He is like 6'4 160... Did you expect huge jacked legs?

  • answer is in the question lol

  • why the fuck are you asking such a dumb question?

  • lol i like cole miller but that was a funny leg kick at 1:37

  • ive been to that gym... its in Boca raton FL

  • yeah i am practiceing this punch

  • Cole Miller and Yves are great fighters.

  • A shame he keeps losing.

  • fucking sick yves you da man

  • I could here him very clearly, they must've been using awesome boom mics. Good technique too!
