Listened to a bit of BvB's new album and I'm torn. The guitar riffs are pretty catchy and might make for a good Metalcore album, but my problem is that the whole album is so radio friendly. I don't listen to metal for something safe -- I want the band to take risks and they took absolutely none on this album. I didn't even hear any screaming. They should get a new guitarist because he is being dragged down by the rest of the band IMO.
It's good to know I'm not the only person who started listening to Metal with Bullet For My Valentine. Now I'm at Cannibal Corpse and Aborted so I have to give credit to Bullet For My Valentine. I wasn't stunned with Fever but I thought it was alright.
I used to like Black Veil Brides until Andy Ballbag slammed the bus door in my friends face and told another aquaintance of mine to fuck off, even though all they said was hi. Fucking wanker arsehole cunt bitch prick douchebag arrogant fuck. The drummer and guitarists are lovely but other than that I HATE THEM!

And neither band is metalcore, BvB were on their first album but not anymore. Bullet have done a lot for metalcore? Well first of all they aren't metalcore and second of all their first album came out about 15 years after the genre was in its fetal stages, so that's not true at all.
@PurpleDino1995 They sound nothing alike. Tuck has a higher pitched voice than Biersack and Tuck can actually exhale scream. Plus the band actually sounds good and has alot of talent, whilst BVB sounds like watered down Metalcore.
Actually, I like almost every single album he's listed. Just because a band changes their sound doesn't mean it sucks. Black Veil Brides ain't bad. Their music is kinda glam rock sounding and it's not band. The scene kids that jizz themselves over it can die, but their music isn't terrible. I just had to look up BVB and all I have to say is that its a good thing that my copies of Sodom M16 and Agent Orange came in the mail today. I'm going to have to blast some good metal in order to forget the pile of shit that is BVB. They look like Motley Crue rejects and sound generic.

About the Lulu album: Many say that it's just Metallica wanting to do something new, for themselves, not for the fans.Why then in the world did they do it with Metallica. I mean they could have started a sideproject with Lou Reed (I can't think that's illegal) and released the album in that way. This would have given the fans a chance to just skip this album and say "Hey, it's not metallica just some sideproject.I don't like it,but good thing they didn't try to sell it as Metallica".Good idea?

I am prepared for the massive shit storm that's about to come my way but here's my opinion on Black Veil Brides. After meeting a few of the members, I do have to say I do respect them though I'm not a fan of the band at all. They are telling kids to be themselves no matter what people say. Now people say it's "bad to me emo." They aren't the best band out there, but that's no reason to ruin it for their fans. This isn't against what was said in the review, it's just my opinion.

For me personally the biggest dissapointments of 2011 were:
1.Opeth - Heritage (Good on it's own, but NOT Opeth material)
2.Debauchery - Germany's next death metal (Just shit, expected much more from these guys)
3.Artillery - My Blood (A huge letdown after the amazing When death comes)
4.Cavalera Conspiracy - Blunt force trauma (Shit when compared to it's predecessor)
5.Trivium - In Waves (Their 2 previous albums had raised my expectations. Alas)

About the Lulu album: Many say that it's just Metallica wanting to do something new, for themselves, not for the fans.Why then in the world did they do it with Metallica. I mean they could have started a sideproject with Lou Reed (I can't think that's illegal) and released the album in that way. This would have given the fans a chance to just skip this album and say "Hey, it's not metallica just some sideproject.I don't like it,but good thing they didn't try to sell it as Metallica".Good idea?

Dude, I totally agree with you. Limp Bizkit's new album was terrible. I litteraly wanted to cry 'cause I grew up to him & such. Black Veil Brides, though, they used to be good. Like when they came out with "Knives and Pens" but then they turned into a bunch of wannabes. Its quite disappointing really. & I tried to listen to Metallica's new album but it was just so awful. Metallica, in my opinion, hasn't had a good album since The Black Album. Really upsetting.

From the awful vocals that they keep covering with chorus, to bland instrumentals and some of the shittiest guitar solos seen in a long time, that band is nothing, and certainly shouldn't be put within Metalcore cuz, i mean, cmon be serious...

Metallica's new official album comes out late this year or early next year.

I am prepared for the massive shit storm that's about to come my way but here's my opinion on Black Veil Brides. After meeting a few of the members, I do have to say I do respect them though I'm not a fan of the band at all. They are telling kids to be themselves no matter what people say. Now people say it's "bad to me emo." They aren't the best band out there, but that's no reason to ruin it for their fans. This isn't against what was said in the review, it's just my opinion.

And 99% of the fanbase is teenage girls in general not just "emos" But the worst part I do have to agree they are ruining their genre of Metal (Metalcore) which makes them ruining some of Heavy Metal. I mean every single girl in my school I've ever asked what kind of music do you like? And they say Heavy Metal than I start saying bands and some of them are even more well known like Iron Maiden and they can only name two bands: BVB and A7X.

@qu7aker Well I personally LOVE A7X as well. And most Metalcore sucks but you need to admit there are SOME good Metalcore bands. And Green Day's first 3 albums were good....then they turned into some pathetic pop punk boyband. And I love Metallica's first five albums...but after that not so much. :) And my friend...I am sad to say that it's not only girls who like cheap idiotic manufactured music for the masses known as modern pop. In The 80's good pop was around. When MJ died so did pop. :(
