I like how in this film Jack is finally seen seriously enough as someone fit enough to have a woman for him. I mean in the previous films he alsways had the role of the 'joker', the funny one, while the serious romance stuff was dedicated to Will and Elizabeth. Now that Will is out of the way (and so is Elizabeth who was true to the blacksmith anyway) Jack gets the attention he deserves. He is a character, capable of having his own romantic storyline.

He is good enough to have a woman love him. Though I like the fact that it was not some dramatic sloppy romance but was rather passionate and energetic, adventurous and stylish - exactly fitting Jack.

And even though when POC first came out I like the originality of the main character NOT being being the one who 'gets the girl', now after all this time I enjoy seeing Jack getting some action too. ;)

As much as I liked seeing Jack get together with someone I'm really not sure he will settle down. Jack's a free spirit and doesn't really like to be tied down to anything. Ya know what I mean?

@LizIsaCheeseDoodle True. Even though the ending confession was turned into a joke it might have still been true. He did share about his.. "stirrings" for Angelica to Gibbs after all. XD But I agree that Jack is a spirit for adventure and I can't imagine something like 'settling down' for him.
