So, I guess we can say that The Joker pulled "O'Reilly's TRUE birthplace" out of his butt, and just assumed them to be true.

And...it went out of his butt, through his fingers, onto the printed page, into the minds of "Frankensteins" who...who swallow it!

Back then, the Levitts (how Levittown got its name) built a large amount of homes such that when post office lines got drawn later on, parts of Levittown ended up with different mailing addresses. Westbury was one of such towns that had parts of Levittown in.

First of all, just because it's three hours long doesn't mean you have to stop it right after she says what you want her to.

And second of all, the point that Franken was trying to prove is still valid. If you would have gone farther in the book he writes that O'Reilly says "You don't come from any lower than I come on an economic scale." He went to private school for Christ's sake! Even though Franken may have had a technical error(That O'Reilly's mother made as well), the point is still there.

The low standards of living in the O'Reilly family's upbringing also checks out. Long Island private schools are not filled with the economic elite as may be the case in other areas of the country. 2 of our contributors were raised in the area under similar circumstances.

There are definitely Levitt-style houses in Levittown; a member of my ex-husband's family lives in one. Just go slightly northeast of Eisenhower Park and you'll find 'em. The streets even have Levittown-style names. It's quite conceivable that William Levitt had his houses built before the boundaries of Levittown (and Hicksville, for that matter, ya listenin', Billy Joel?) were finalized.

The paperback addition did NOT correct this lie about O'Reilly. The paperback addition of Coulters Slander DID however correct the Nascar/Ny Times mistake BEFORE Frankens Lies came out.

Everyone is a liar. This lie wasn't purposeful, I'm sure. I doubt he would make the same statement now that he has learned the truth, but even if he did lie on purpose, don't you think it is a very small lie?

In his book, he goes after people that purposely lie because their lies effect people's decisions and philosophy. This lie, however, is moot.

Look into it a bit more. Franken didn't lie. The deed Bill produced was indeed valid but failed to show that Westbury hadn't yet been established. When they bought the house it was in the suburbs of Levitttown which became Westbury. So Franken's point is still valid, O Reilly didn't grow up in the hard knocks life.

Franken lied about simple geography.

I have the address of the home in question and it is indeed a tiny plot of land with a small house built on it. in strong contrast to the more modern buildings of hte Westbury sections.
