i graduated in 08 when the economy first tanked was at its worst. i went to a mediocre school and didn't get the best grades. me and all my friends have good jobs so if you're complaining, you're either not looking hard enough or looking in the wrong places. be realistic about what job you are actually qualified for and dont be afraid to take internships/temp-to-hire to get your foot in the door of a company you really like.

@edwadokun Tell that to the 200+ resumes I put in JUST last year. I got 2 replies. Sorry, we hired someone else and Sorry we decided not to hire anyone. I got the point where I applied anywhere their was an offering or had a site to fill out. Stores? I put in an app at every one in 50 miles. When you live in busy towns where everyone just graduated and needs a job AND everyone over 30 just lost and is *taking* that shitty job you need, fuck I'm a heartbeat from moving out of state. Not tailoring correctly and bad cover letters? Sending 10 good resumes is better than sending 200+ bad ones. Ask your friends who have jobs for advice. Use your resources

The thing is there are two sides to this coin. people who leave college and get a job for the most part didn't have a lot of fun in college. They were working their asses off. but the people in this video made the tradeoff between having awesome parties all the time and succeeding.

ooo yea don't be a college drop out who didn't need loans until their last year, but refused to take a student loan so dropped out.. I know a lot of morons like that.. I'm in grad school now, but my year off after I graduated was pretty productive. Turkey, then UK, then stayed at home and go down to visit Dallas. etc.  did SES tutoring, would not recommend that. Doesn't pay enough. anyway glad to be in grad school.

@tomx1704 For me the math part was harder than the verbal and essay part. I spent about five months preparing for it after I graduated. I highly recommend getting a current GRE study guide plus a vocabulary study guide. I used the Barron's edition and the GRE sparknotes that you can get for free online. If you know French or Latin that will help on the vocab part. I never took the old GRE.The only thing I know that they changed was the grading system.
