emmy the great has talent but okay?? she has a nice voice and she has improved drastically since her first album song wise. are you going to be mad at every cover you don't like of a song? there are different tastes in music and arguing which is better is a waste of everyone's time. you don't need to completely bash the artist because of one song.

I got here because of a thread on a forum about covers. I clicked on the link and heard this syrupy bubble gum version of one of my favorite songs. There are plenty of teen angst songs out there for people like this heffa to cover. Do the classics justice or leave them alone.

@MoshotheSpear It's a cover, it's her own interpretation. Personally I like this, having fairly eclectic taste in music - it provides a refreshing contrast to the (obviously brilliant) grungy original by Pixies. Maybe it's not to your taste, but I disagree that this cover hasn't done the song justice...rather, it's simply provided a different angle.

Seethers Careless Whisper is a good cover. Miley Cyrus has a cover of Teen Spirit that makes my eats bleed.

The world does not need a watered down version of a classic song.

But you've got to remember that this song is for Emmy fans, not for Pixies fans. I just happen to like both.
