  • lol ferrets do pick on dogs lol its funny

  • these are so cool i have 4 ferrets and a dog they all get along the ferrets harass the dog alot though hes very patient with them hes so gentle

  • black footed ferrets ARE polecats.

  • unless these are a different species of ferrets, These are polecats..Not domestic ferettes.. as ferrets are literally unable to survive in the wild..

  • Black footed ferrets are wild ferrets. They are endangered because we screwed up their habitat by screwing up the prairie dog habitat

  • These are not polecats. Black footed ferrets are closely related to the Steppe Polecats but are a different species.

  • polecats are different.. these are wild. i breed ferrets and they are way different to a polecat.

  • Read the title. It's a black footed ferret, a close reletive of both the domestic ferret and the European polecat.

  • Ferrets were originaly fromt he wild, they were tamed and then domesticated over the thousands of years.

a black-footed ferret isnt a polecat, otherwise it would be a black-footed polecat.

the type of ferret that people have as pets cant survive in the wild, but obviously, a wild ferret could.....

  • are ferrets meerkat and moongooses in the same family?

  • i've never seen one in hawai'i

  • there illegale there but dont worry were doing somthing to change that

  • ferrets get along with almost any dog, as long as the dog is friendly. i just wouldnt suggest it being let outside without a leash nd body collar. there very swift nd stealthy.

  • r ferrets strong at all??

  • Hahaha man, I love their cackling! Too bad my ferrets don't do that!

  • ferrets are just so funny animals and its really great to see that there are being worked on saving them in the wild aswell

  • I didn't know ferrets were naturally nocturnal :o Learn something new every day.

  • can ferets be in the same house the dogs can be in??

and can they be unleashed and let outside???

  • It's like owning a kitten for 7-10 years. They are about as smart as a 3-year-old.

  • yes but i wouldnt bring them outside alone lol

  • My ferret roams around the house free with 2 pit bulls. Sometimes he punks the dogs. (LOL)

  • yes but i would introduce them slowly. also most breeds of dogs are hunters so if you have a lab, pit,or other hunters i would just not leave them alone. and if you want to leave it outside it better be well trained

  • Nice work! I didn't realize they hunted prairie dogs.

  • what if u got a gallon of ferret milk and made cheese out of it. how would it taste?

  • thts not a ferret lmaoooo

  • aww soooooooooooo cute!!!!!!

  • i love ferrets.

    Black footed ferrets are cute.

My ferret has only ever hissed.

(at my friends, MoMo doesn't like Jaky lol)

She's never made any other noises though.

    This ferrets are quite vocal.

  • these ferrets are wild like weasels their cute but not the type you would want to hold like your pet ferret;they bite and are natural predators;pet ferrets cant survive on their own.

  • I hope your able to work yourself out of a job.. hehe..

God bless those that give so much to help to help stop the instinction of species...

  • Good people of America.

  • wow theyre very vocal!! never heard a ferret chirp like that

  • aww 3.42 so cute.

  • there one of the cutest

  • thats sad but i luv the ferrets and i hope they recover =]]]]]]]

  • wat do u mean?

  • If the breeding stock was so low, how do they prevent all the genetic problems that comes with inbreeding?

  • In general wild animals do not suffer from nearly as many genetic issues from inbreeding as domesticated animals do. Humans have, in many cases, bred many creature we first think of as having inbreeding issues and reinforced those problems.

  • They're SO CUTE!!!!

  • Nice video, lovely ferrets.

  • I love ferrets! all kinds!

  • 3 weeks ago i saw a mink by the beach... i know minks aren't ferrets but they look the same way.

  • theyre a little different yeah, but theyre from the same biological family :)

  • black footed ferrets are not the same species as domestic ferrets. even though their name contains the word "ferret"

  • BUT THEY R STILL CUTE!

  • Very interesting little piece on my kids cousins. I knew the basic story about the black footed, but it was good to get more details!

  • the sound is diffrent like my ferret

  • Yeah at one point in time there was only like 20 Black footed ferrets so they are like super endangered

  • its amazing some of the diffences than domestic ferrets.

  • i love ferrets

  • Yippee!

  • i love them they just look so different then domestic. there fur, ears, neck everything and they are like a way strange ferret lol i just love them. just another kinda weasle thing. i ❤ ferrets. there are so many kinds!

  • you cant have a blackfooted :o...

  • Nah, black-footed ferrets can kinda be tamed. They had a problem with the ones they bred in captivity, they tried to train them to be afraid of badgers, but they kept trying to play with the badger puppet instead of run from it.

  • i have 2 ferrets 1 is a black footed ferrets (got him from petsmart or petco) and a brown 1, i forgot wat there called (same place).

  • A black footed ferret is a wild animal, completely different than a domesticated ferret sold at a pet store.

  • hate to break it to ya but u dont have a bff they are endangered. petstores wouldnt have them. plus they cant be domesticated like dogs and cats.

  • Coolboy1178, funny that you mention dogs and cats, cos there are also wild dogs and wild cats and they can't be domesticated either, I think.

  • you don't have a black footed ferret or you'd be in federal prison. They are endangered wildlife. If you have one colored similarly it is a cinnamon ferret, but domesticated and only related to the BFF, which cannot ever be had as a pet.

    enjoy!

  • those ferrets are so asome. your video is sweet. i feel bad for those little ferrets their so cute

  • i love ferret, tengo un ferret waithe(albino)

  • isnt that for selling them (breeders).they are illegal in somep art of the U.S. to have as pets.

  • They are illiegal in Califronia and New York (domesticated ferrets that is)

  • I live in NY and I purchased a domestic ferret from a pet store... they are not illegal

  • Its illegal to buy ferrets in NYC, not to own them. The rest of NY it is not illegal though.

  • wow. can't do anything anywhere anymore. that

    sucks

  • and california, you cant have them there

  • Just in NY city I believe.

  • thank you i love ferrets

  • Their "dook" is so much louder than domestic ferrets. I would love it if my ferrets could make that noise. Its so cute.

  • God ferrets are cute. When I move out I am getting one as a pet. You know the black footed ferret and the domestic ferrets are diffrent from each other?

  • i have had many ferrets in my life and i have never had a better pet...... there are many types of ferrets

  • yay

  • how can ferret be ugly ...? your viion is impaired lol they're gawjus and aslo . black footed ferrets are extremely rare now and are beginning to become extinct ^^

  • interisting

  • I love them, I wish I could have one, but it wouldn't be right, poeple need to understand that they are not pets, nor tigers, or anyother wild animals. at 3:32 that was soo cute! but, back to my topic, Its very nice of them ot help, and I think every ferret-lovers should to.

  • there soo awsome i wish i had one as a pet

  • there so ugly

  • -.- If thier ugly, The video must not be working for you. Ferrets are very cute, and the black-footed ferrets are cuter.

  • You are kidding, right? They are freaking adorable!

  • their cute but not as cute as domestic..

  • u mean the other way around?

  • they should cross them with domestic ferrets to make cuter pets with the distinctive features.

  • they're cuter than the domestic ferrets. I like their black noses and raccoon-like mask of black fur across their eyes

  • Love, honor and protect black footed ferrets, the last of their kind. Thanks for posting this video...

  • Aww cute!~

  • Thankyou for posting this video. I always wanted to know what wild ferrets were like :)

  • Ferret have no direct relation with the black ferret (they are obviously from the same family, mustelidea).

The actual animal that have been domesticated thounsand years ago is beleived to be the european polecat, search for Ferrets_in_Forest for a video of the specie.

  • these things rule

  • GOOOO FERRETS!!!!

  • are they not the most beautiful animals ever?

  • Great work!!!

  • yeah i know!! i love ferrets great job from me too! woot!
