@Slimebeast ~ He's good for a GUITAR PLAYER! He just happens to be a Christian. So was Stevie Ray Vaughan and a bunch of others. I work with him. He does main stream music as well as Whitecross and guess what? He's still a Christian who can get his Blues/Rock on as well.

Rex Carroll started in a band called Fierce Heart in 1985. He did not count himself a Christian believer at that time. I myself, like nicodemus, didnt even understand what the concept 'born again' meant. I read about him in GFTPMagazine in the Vinyl Score by Buzz Morrison. He got high marks at the very same time at Vai, and Metallica, and back when Satch was only playing with Greg Kihn. i have been equally infuenced by Rex as by Steve/s and have no regrets whatsoever. FH and Yngwie for me then.

They have different styles, but that doesn´t mean they aren´t guitar gods. Vai played with Zappa, Terry Bozzio, Meat Loaf, just to name a few, has won grammys, and he and Satriani influenced probably millions of guitar players. Can´t say that about Rex Caroll, which i´ve never heard of until now. And to be honest, this video is extremly boring to me, he´s really great on a technical level tho, but nothing really new.
