  • Where is this great gym? Nothing like it in my state of Indiana. I've watched a couple of this guy's videos here on YouTube and I believe that he has the right idea about training. I've trained with H.I.T. for many years and nothing else makes sense to me now. I'm wondering, though, what would be the best number of reps in each set? Sounds like maybe 5-8? I think that the real key is the way he does each set slowly and with strict form!

  • Correction, he did fail on the chest press.

  • At the risk of upsetting a few people why is this a HIT workout? HIT workouts take working sets to failure and beyond. I'm not suggesting this guy isn't training hard but no sets were taken to failure. Also no warm-ups? Going from exercise to exercise with no warm-ups or rest looks like the old Arthur Jones routines of the early '80s.

  • I think the incline press is redundant after doing weighted dips. True that the pectoral minor is being stimulated directly with inclines, but they are worked on dips as well. And dips is the best chest movement of all,If the last movement after deads is needed, wouldn't Hammer Shoulder press or standing push press with a barbell be more ideal? Also, incline flyes/incline pec deck would be a better upper chester blaster to make sure over training of the frontal delts and tris doesn't occur.

  • PureHIT2008, Was wondering if you will change the exercises and which you will change too. Also a question. Which exercises do you feel have helped you the most in getting that lean muscle? Thanks again for your nutrition tips too !!!

  • Really appreciate the information PurHIT2008. Looking forward to your next inspiring videos. By the way, what is your current goals as far as exercises, weights, reps....Perhaps the Rockin' 3 Minute workout ;-) Inspire ~ Motivate ~ Lead .....Thanks !!!!

  • PureHIT2008, you're a TRUE inspiration man!!! Been using the guidelines from your videos and seeing great progress as well. By the way, what percentage is your protein, carbs, and fats in your diet?

Also, do you have a certain rep speed you go for on each exercise?

    Keep Moving !!!

  • @MrHealthDude

Thanks for the positive comments. My diet consists of approx 3000 cals a day. Although I don't keep to specific amounts of macro-nutrients. I aim to eat a sensible diet of meat, fish, eggs, with carbs from wholemeal bread, rice/pasta, fruit and vegetables. I have 3 main meals a day,and snack on perhaps a few nuts and fruit if hungry.

  • Its great to see that your making progress, guys. I 've got a couple of questions for you.

    1. what TUL are you aiming for on every exercise?

    2. How often will you changing the routine?

    3. What are your current stats since the last workout?

    Respect!

  • @HypnoHeron

    Hi

I just aim to complete 5 reps and then increase the resistance next time.

I will stick with this for about 15 weeks, then whilst keeping the format the same, just change a couple of exercises.

The video is my last workout which was on Saturday. My BW is 238lbs.

    Cheers
