There is no better collection by any designers than this one. The Armadillo heels are so creative and avant garde. I hate the fact people complain about it not being wearable. "Wearable" isn't a word known to a creative designer such as himself. Noritaka Tatehana does really crazy shoes too. But it is for display not comfort. Beautiful.
Their hair makes them look goat-like, and along with the shoes it makes them look like giraffes. It's so artistic how this is suggested, it spawns ideas, but he's not blatantly throwing ideas in your face with animal print, etc.

His work wasn't about what people could wear on the streets, I don't think he worried what people thought and he knew that people adored his work, so they should. Its wearable art and look at GaGa, she advertises Sarah Burtons designs also McQueens. Trust me, when I say alot of people would wear this out on the street, because I'm one of them.

I don't know why people are so clueless about McQueenadillos. Look at them. THINK about where the foot would go. Only one place the heel could be, and look how much room there is in there for the rest of the foot. Use your imagination. They're not ballerina stilettos like some seem to think. I'm not saying they're easy to walk in, but they're not torture devices. They're amazingly innovative, beautiful, and very inspiring. They are art.
@redsquarenine its the same foot position as a normal 6 in heel but with a higher platform and covered to mask it, its not a ballerina pointe, those take a lot of time and practice to walk in,

These shoes were also not sold to anyone and there were like only 20 bedcause they were not mass producing them. These specific pairs of shoes from this runway, only few people such as Lady Gaga have them and rest went to the archives.......
im sad very sad he tapped into a hidden state of mind and in the end each collection was a piece of his soul that was created for us to admire and be inspired. Loved it. Some was a bit (understatement) impractical. Sometimes I have a hard time when Fashion designers create clothing that cannot necessarily be "worn," but then I think fashion is art, an expression of self. who am I to try and box in a voice. Fashion is a difficult art to deal with, but I'm loving it as I get more into it.
@l0vef00l0s0pher you can wear every one of those dresses. They fit perfectly. The only thing difficult is the heels, but any girl on heels for a lot of time can slip into them fine. Just dont run ;)

Also, if you really do have the money, expect to spend upwards of 50000$ cause everybody will want them, especially the fabulously rich. im sad very sad he tapped into a hidden state of mind and in the end each collection was a piece of his soul that was created for us to admire and be inspired. I cry simply because in my generation there will not be another Alexander McQueen I just hope eventually the world gets 2 have another one just like him. Loved it. Some was a bit (understatement) impractical. Sometimes I have a hard time when Fashion designers create clothing that cannot necessarily be "worn," but then I think fashion is art, an expression of self. who am I to try and box in a voice. Fashion is a difficult art to deal with, but I'm loving it as I get more into it.

@LucasWiller3 You can't purchase the shoes anywhere. The only ones ever made were for the runway show and select clients like Daphne Guinness. You can't get them made either cause the fabrication process is protected under copyright!
Unless, if you have tens (and I mean TENS) of thousands of dollars to spend, I heard they want to auction them off for the benefit of charity...

@LucasWiller3 I don't know if my reply was sent, but I don't remember any other info about the auction other than it was just in the "talks" stage. Also, if you really do have the money, expect to spend upwards of 50000$ cause everybody will want them, especially the fabulously rich. I say this cause when he died, sales jumped well over 1800%, so imagine those shoes that now have legendary status...
