Jesus said all are dead already as in Matt 8:22 "...leave the dead to bury their dead." What He really meant is open to interpretation. Christians have 'original sin' doctrine which is based on Rom 5 but it doesn't fit this verse.
Paul's 'sin and death' doctrine is based on Gen 2:17 and it does fit what Jesus said if you believe that Adam died (spiritually) THE SAME DAY that he sinned otherwise God would be a liar.

Jesus said all are dead already as in Matt 8:22 "...leave the dead to bury their dead." What He really meant is open to interpretation. Christians have 'original sin' doctrine which is based on Rom 5 but it doesn't fit this verse.
Paul's 'sin and death' doctrine is based on Gen 2:17 and it does fit what Jesus said if you believe that Adam died (spiritually) THE SAME DAY that he sinned otherwise God would be a liar.
Jn 6:63 "it is the Spirit that gives LIFE". This is light (energy) of life.

Paul and Jesus preached "Spirit of life". This could be interpreted as 'grace' if you use Rom 5 for original sin doctrine instead of Gen 2:17 which is the actual law God made. Our churches call this the "Adamic covenant".
Jesus also preached the government of God(Kingdom of heaven) from Isaiah 9 which Paul seems to ignore.

The word for God in Hebrew is ELOHIM from the singular ELOH which comes from the 3 hebrew letters:

Brother ArcaneMagik26, I can respect your point of view and I hope we all are fully pursuaded in our own mind concerning God. Dont look for understanding people here, they come to judge. I'm a Seventh Day Adventist and belive we both worship the God of Abraham. This we can build on. My picture of God is based on evidence not claims and I wish everyone would do the same. Jim Jones claimed God spoke to him and his followers belived it, they all commited suicide without checking. Take care!

You talk about Jim Jones and his cult followers without mentioning William Miller and his cult followers such as Ellen G. White. You dont tell this person about how your sect is founded on false prophecies that were restored to validity by lies. Or perhaps like many adventist, you do not know about the foundation of your belief system, if not study William Miller and the Millerites!

BenJune09, perhaps you can help me. You say your belief system doesnt oppose Scripture. So you should be able to explain to me how following the sabbath is a commandment for the New Testament christian, where no other adventist that I have asked has been able to do so. It is not that I have not been willing to hear their arguement, they have refused to put one forward. Faith cometh by hearing, as it says in my bible.

Frozenimran, Surra 9:3 says 'to announce painful punishment to unbelievers' that means non muslims, Sura 9:5 says 'then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush'. To slay is to attack, no where is is mentioned about non muslims being aggresors, nor is threre anything said about 'self defence'. To slay means to kill.

No where in the Quran or sunnah does it say to commit suicide, or suicide bombing, or blow up churches or kill women and children, it says the exact opposite. Their is no way that anything in the Quran says this

I pray that Muslims will have a full revelation of the true God and His loving character.I pray against the fear that influences many Muslims and that Muslims will also understand that God desires for everyone to know Him as children and not as slaves. I pray for Muslim's to get saved.I also pray that they will experience God's total forgiveness and thus be able to forgive others. Finally I pray that they would know the assurance of salvation through Jesus, something Islam can never offer them.

No you're wrong Davidwilson, Islam Existed since the begining. Before Muhammed, they never used to call his name but all the prophets were Muslim (Muslim means to submit himself to god). And even Jesus. And Jesus talked about a savior in the future and not only in the qu'ran but also in the bible it was written that not everybody will believe that the savior existed. And guess who it is? Sayidina Muhammad peace be upon him.

davidwilson, i cannot show it because i dont know where to find it in the internet. But all practicing christians i know say that. In the qu'ran, its written that Jesus calls Muhammad by name (But Ahmad cause it has the same meaning) but in the bible, its written "Savior" or some sort. Try to find it in the bible or at least ask people.

I'm not surprised that christians are afriad of Islam. You see it every day. Muslims are committing suicide and mass killing people and expecting to have a good afterlife. It's not only that. There are women's rights, religious rights, free speech, etc, i could go on and on. There is no doubt that this religion has flaws that need to be altered. But a religion without good leadership is just what it is, a bad religion.

Actually Bush is a practicing christian. Political and religious guy. As for our leaderships. Many of the muslim presidents are corrupt and stupid. If they actually werent presidents and they had good presidents instead of them, I really doubt Bush would attack Iraq.(unless if he wants a third world war.........for oil)

According to Europol (the police forces of the European Union) there were nearly 500 'terrorist incidents' in the EU last year. 1 was 'Islamic'. The only fatal one was by the Christians, ETA, in Madrid. Yet every day there is something in the news about 'Islamic terrorism'.
