The image at the end is a propaganda pamphlet. It is a warning that the attacking troops rape the women. During ww2 many countries dropped such papers on populations. America dropped little tiny radio's in Afghanistan. As this is a small part of an unfinished work I was using the end image as a bridge to another section
I found your animation very interesting, but I did not understand the image at the end- it seemed to be a woman being attacked by a man- could you explain what you were trying to say with that image??
@ttrexx2525 the image at the end is of a pamphlet dropped by the Japanese on china during ww2. I thought it was an appropriate image to give to the raven/crow who has become the harbinger of death. In keeping with my original intention of the animation which was to talk about my uncle's death in WW2 I though a image of a terrorizing pamphlet was appropriate.

Hello dhlynsky! , im also working on a 3d animation for a shortfilm , and i am really really specially interested on the rigging of the wings on your model , is it possible to describe the techinique you used to control them please? thx : )
Looks great. I'm working on a 3d animation in Maya with pigeons. How did you texture your model? Are the feathers alphas, did you use any Zbrush? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
the wing feathers are individual poly feathers that I loosely drew over the texture. The texture has an alpha (transparent) so the edges are clean and the feathers have some translucency. The body is standard polys that have been UV mapped with edges extruded and mapped with single feathers where I wanted to give the profile some "dirtyness". No Zbrush or Mudbox... just a little pixel pushing.
Does this depict someone shooting the raven? That is pitiful and pathetic. Only the most pitiful coward would do this. The animation is very striking.
I never intended the shot to be aimed at the raven. Rather I saw the bird as a symbol of dark spirit of war. I saw the arrival of the raven as beginning of a longer animation about the death of my uncle who bailed from an bomber over the Netherlands and broke his neck when he fell into a tree. hence the bomber in the background. This is not sound of the shot of a hunter it is the sound of the soldier's gun.
Oh, I apologize then! I'm really sorry about your uncle, and this animation is *very* striking. The way the cards flutter down, the overall vibe. I think you definitely accomplished what you were going for, and i admire your talent. Thank you for clarifying your intent, and thank you for sharing this talent.
What is wrong with raping women. It's the only chance they get to enjoy stupid life. Rape them all!
