  • Why does CoD 4 just sound like noise when you're not watching it? xD

  • This case is picturesque -3

  • I have the exact same case O_O

  • Blame one hand... xD

  • )))))))))))))

  • dude, you should NOT be getting only 30 FPS. I have a core 2 duo and a graphics card with half the power and dont get 30 FPS on super high but like 40 to 50 on medium at a high resolution. I would imagine a quad core and a GTX 285 would get the job done at 60FPS solid maxed at YOUR resolution but I guess crysis was just poorly optimized, despite being a PC exclusive. its sad that new hardware 3 years after the game released still dont give 60 FPS. imagine what it was like when it came out!

  • mac 4 lyf but ur using a normal pc lol..

  • LOL i ran on my i945 intel card [Most sucking GPU] and it gave me 30 fps on low settings at 1024x768 on Window 7

  • pls there is nth to be proud of with that kind of shit reso of course u can run crysis. whats the big deal??

  • are you serious?your resolution is SO low. change it and your textures will be crystal clear :D

  • You could Get a dvi-hdmi converter

  • hi guys i wanna get a gtx 285 geforce but noticed that it doesnt have an hdmi port. how will i be able to watch hd. i would be rly grateful for any of ur help...

    thx

  • @PCGameplayVids mac love <3

  • am getting a intel q9550 next week am currently with a intel q8200 @ 3,33ghz and with the q9550 I will oc this bad boy to 3,8ghz and if I can maybe 4ghz :). I know I will get respond like get a i7 but I jsut want to upgrape my cpu not my motherboard and my ram because it will cost too much and I will not be able to upgrape anything if I go with i7 is too expensive but oh well like some guys said and when check benchmark there is not much gaming eprformance difference between core 2 quad and i7

  • you look like a fucking addicted x)

  • Good Pc x

  • WHO HAS CORE 2 QUAD ANYMORE! GET I7!

  • WHO HAS CORE 2 QUAD ANYMORE! GE i7!!!!

  • @deadguy718 the performance difference is minimal and my core 2 quad got 12mb cache. and core i7 only got 8mb

  • @rsa008 Not really. There is alot more technology that goes into an i7 Series CPU, that the Core 2 series of CPUs didn't have. One of the main advantages being HyperThreading, which in games and programs that utilize multi-threading correctly can make a huge difference.

Games are not just about GPU work, there is plenty of CPU work that goes on and it CAN effect your Frames Per-Second.

  • @rsa008 It's in the architecture d00d, the i7 can do more bits per cycle than the core 2's, but the difference isn't too great if you OC that bitch to 4ghz

  • @TheMrVogue what about temps if you overclock to 4ghz ?

  • @rsa008 if i was you i would feel a nasty pain in ma chest right now, i mean with the new fermi cards out.. ouutch!

  • @TheMrVogue I will buy a gtx 480 and use my old gtx285 for physx :D

  • @rsa008 lol FUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuum... hehehe, speaking of new hardware, I just ordered a GTX 460 :D! Based on the reviews, I'd suggest you SLI two of the 1GB models and then use the 285 for phyysxx ;)

  • @rsa008 its a waste to use gtx285 for physx.

  • @rsa008 Core i7 980X Extremes have 12MB of L3 which is faster than L2, and has a smaller core architecture. In short, it's faster.

  • awesome graphics and video, lol

  • Nice call of duty in the background lol

  • Lol 1gig of ram and 80c gpu you dont know alot about computers

  • and that is a bad thing ? lol

  • I think he means the video card

  • how much does this catd cost?

    pls tell me

  • @DJmantis11 around 2000$ for the whole system

  • @rsa008 riiiiiiiiiiiiiight... -_-

  • @DJmantis11 you could get the same gaming results with a much cheaper pc running the latest core i3 cpu.

  • how will crysis run on intel i7 920 with gtx 285 at highest setting????????

  • is this for real? my over 2 year old 8000 gtx runs it nearly as good as this at 1080p!

  • maybe because you run it in directX7? dumbass

  • also true

  • a GTX 285 in 2-way SLI can max Crysis at 1920x1200 res with about 45 fps on average

  • yes <3

  • Can i7 920 2,66 Ghz, 6GB RAM (1600 Mhz), XFX GTX 285 (Not black edition) handle this game without lagg at max graphics?

  • it would lag a bit. i would rather consider a hd 5970 from ATI : )

  • @rsa008. Okey but I will wait for the Nvidia GF100

  • shit will be smooth

  • Who tha fuk plays Crysis PC witha controller? Shit doesent make sence.

  • @xXTrippaXx Somebody who prefers a controller, simple as that. My brother uses one and kicked peoples ass on PC if that was going to be your next argument. It all comes down to personal preference.

  • Is an iMac with the GTX 285 weaker than a PC with a GTX 285?

  • yes, cuz of the ram and cpu, iMac's are NOT made for gaming :).

  • Is there any particular reason why everyone buys the Intel Intel Q9500 series CPUs? They are expensive as fuck! You could save so much more money going with a Phenom II. Is there a giant performance advantage between the Intel and the AMD processors?

  • the q9550S which was just released has the same power as a phenom 2 but consumes less energy. The strongest phenom 2 uses around 125watts (965) and the q9550 which is its equivalent only uses 65watts. The 9550 has more overclocking headroom in general and it basically beats it. I mean it comes out to pretty much the same on the long run since if you go amd your energy bill will go up. Intel's high end 775 quads still beat the current ph2 platform and utilize conciderably less power.

  • @Victordove YES, if you overclock, the Intel will get to 4GHZ-4.5GHZ easy if your Mobo can do the FSB.

  • no, the intels are just more expensive.I have a AMD Phenom 2 X4 955 and a GTX 260 and crysis runs like hell

  • That's actually the CPU I was looking at for my rig. Link me your specs.

  • Okay think of it like this... The Intel is like a gorgeous girl, the AMD is like the fat chick with herpes... Which one are you going to choose? I don't care what anyone says, Intel makes the better chip, period...

  • @1993hondaaccord not really they both are really the same, amd just has not come out with its new set of chips and intel is just cranking them out...best bang for buck though is amd period...intel has amazing chips yeah...if you can afford them

  • @1993hondaaccord but amd does make some good chips aswell.

I prefer intel only because of its name

same with nvidia ( even tho ati is better)

  • Definetly

  • lmao ventrillo, me and a friend talked to eachother only using that for almost 3 days.

  • er du norsk?

  • eg ja

  • NVidia architecture advantage?.....Not that I'm a "fan boy" ,I'll Switch back and forth in a heartbeat , Ati is cheaper and can play 8aa ..., and I meant 1280 x1024 (again 1st LCD ever made) ,the 4890 OWN's the gtx 260,....

  • multi OS user, high five!

  • thx

  • Lol someone's playing COD 4 in the background.

  • I can hear COD4 from a mile away.

  • I like how you phrased that....lol!

  • You should have better fps than that, I average around 40fps with q6700 @ 3.4 and Ati 4890 with 8x' AA ,everything at highest settings ,@ 1024x1080 resolution(I got the 1st lcd ever made)...

  • whats the point on enabling 8xaa when you have "the first lcd ever made" however i get 25fps with my phenom 2 940 @ 3.6 at 1920x1200 with 8xaa, 16xq is way different story though.

  • you wouldn't have 1024x1080, you mean 1920x1080.

But yeh, he should have the dual GPU advantage, the resolution advantage, and the NVidia architecture advantage.

  • Can you shoot better with a gamepad than with your mouse?

  • crysis is such a bland game gameplay-wise....graphics are the best but who really plays a game for graphics...

  • me.

  • shallow

  • Crysis is fun very fun!Problem is that is t much for you maebe.

  • I'm the type of person who just marvels at the audio visual presentation and finds it really immersive.

It's just a free and massive place to run around and get into awesome firefights at.

  • i heard the game's actually pretty fun

  • it is, It's actually my fav FPS.

  • I have a PS3. But not half of what you in terms of a gaming pc. I'll add you whenever I have time to jump back on it again.

  • hi! have you dah any problems with your GTX285? anything whatsoever? thanks!

  • No, it is a super videocard! but i would have bought a hd 5870 from ati. double performance !

  • controler xbox............... jaja . best Mouse.

  • I totally agree. I love playing mirrors edge on my 32 inch LCD :)

  • stop jerking off with ur other hand

  • i hear cod4 in background, gotta go play now lol...

    cool vid btw :)

  • add me RIKKY95 on playstation

  • sorry but i play on pc :P

  • 8000 views <3

  • cool.......... like that graphic

  • 2:11 lol

  • 6 UN COGLIONE NON SAI GIOCARE...-.-

  • get rid of the tv and run a real screen. a 9800gtx can run that res at max settings...

  • the gtx 285 beats the 9800 gtx ?

  • yeah

  • Crysis crap game

  • not crap, gamelay is average, but it is sooooooo beautful

  • e det eg som spiller i bak grunnen?

  • neida, det er bare spillet som står på :D hehe din forbanna kuk suger som liker hest i rompen <3

  • one word...tripod...

  • LOL??? ofcourse the first!!!!!

  • mine =]

  • for gaming both are the same

  • Phenom only if you want to play 1920x1080. If you want 1920x1200 or higher, go for the core i7 setup. The EVGA X58 SLI motherboard and EVGA GTX 295 would be your best setup. For the CPU cooler, I'd go for the Thermalright Ultra or the Noctua CPU cooler. Also, 12gb of RAM is too much for gaming, unless you do 3D CAD projects. The PSU is fine, I have one of those.

  • you must never buy a 1TB harddrive. rather buy like 3-4 hdd on 250-320gb and but them in raid 0. I have just bought 3 samsung t166 320gb, and I get read speeds around 150mb/s.

  • This things getting built Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM 32MB SATA 3Gbs Gigabyte GTX 285 1 gig Intel Core i7-920 / 2.66GHz / 8MB Cache / LGA1366 Noctua NH U12P SE Cpu Cooler Pioneer Blu-Ray BDC-S02 Combo Drive Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Intel Mainboard Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic 64-Bit DVD - OEM Antec P193 Performance One - Black ATX Tower Case Antec Continuous Power 850W ATX Power Supply Corsair DDR3 6GB PC-12800/1600 3x2GB I just tore your pc an new asshole :P
  • how much did tht cost for you?

  • $2520au When you buy all your pc components from one store it ends up cheaper, it just takes longer to get it if your not paying for postage costs as the store has to order it. Store's like Centrecom in Sunshine Melbourne and MSY only stock high sale parts and it's not often they get asked for extreme graphic cards and cpu's.

  • Any1 here got a gtx 285? I wanna compare mine to see if it's up to scratch.

EVGA GTX 285 SSC, Q6600 3ghz, 4GB 1669mhz ddr3 and running XP pro. 1920x1200 High detail, average fps is 52.

I upgraded from ati 4870 and got 43fps with that.

  • but you are using directX 9 ...

  • yes. I get 27fps Very High 1920x1200 Very High with 16af and no AA

  • whoever is playing bf2 or some this in the background could have helped you out with the camera so we get actual gamePLAY ;-)

  • Q6600 3.5 GHz refrigeracion liquida

Gygabite GTX285 2 GB refrigeracion liquida

    Mushkin Essential 6GB 3x2 DDR3 2000MHz

    1 TB D.D 7.200 rpm

NOX Pulsar 750W Modular Led Azul

Eso si es que un ordenador xD

  • Your computer either sucks nuts or you are lying outright. With a 280 at 1920x1200, Very High, 0XAA, 16XAF, you would be getting at least 30.

    I has 285.

  • if u have a Q9650 u wont have a outdate Cpu for 3 years

  • Your cpu gets outdatet before it gets broken

  • 1gb of ram? wath tha fuck is rong with you?

  • 1GB For the GPU

  • 1Gb on the GPU! wath tha fuck is rong with you?

  • Dude thougth hat was 1gb of ddr not gddr k?

  • Sorry, I wasnt having a go, I was just having a joke. :)

  • is your gtx285 igb or 2gb?

  • 1 gb

  • COD 4 in the background.

  • ya lol!

  • then be quiet..thank u.

  • ok..either way u were wrong, im gonna try to ignore ur poor judgment and move on as ur wasting my time.

  • u didnt stop it, u pretty much told the dude that u cant overclock it unless u spend extra hundred dollars on ssc edition/

  • doesnt sound like u knew, anyway just shut up and wait for someone who's sure to answer.

  • noone's arguein..jsut telling u to think and research before u talk.

  • if i didnt correct ur mistake the person who posted might have put down 100 dollars down the drain.

  • ya, trying to help by making someone throw money in the toilet, am i rite?

  • its call safe overclocking, as long as u make sure the temperature does go up to 60 idle its fine, u dunt damage ur video card just cuz u overclock it 1mhz.

  • i want the xfx GTX 285 blackedison

  • Dont waste money on a overclocked version. Do the overclocking yourself.

  • is the xfx GTX 285 black edition better than the normal?

  • i love nvidia :)

  • Its better then ATI ;)

  • shure ;) nvidia (& intel) ftw :D

  • if ati get more memory bit then it will own all nvidia cards

  • But ATI has more mhz on their ram, doesent that have anything to say?

  • not really...all about SVGAs is the memory bit..the higher the better..engine clocks etc are not so worthy

  • That explains a lot :)

  • plus the driver problems ati has..

  • I know...

  • ati's gfx cards are pretty cheap, they bump the mhzs up to makeup for the small memory interface.

  • i needed help choosing computer parts, so if any one could help, id appreciate it.

Im makinmg a gaming rig this summer hiyavernies. blogspot. com <-- go here

  • I can help you, just tell me what you are gonna use your computer for.

  • im no expert.... but is that a good place to put your tower?

  • I dont have so good room for it, so its my only option

  • nvidia does make good cards but i think are way overpriced. my theory is they charge extra because they pay of companies so they build the game off of their engine. 4890 is better than this card by like 7 fps for a much cheaper price when it comes to that the choice is clear unless ur made of money

  • I know, but Nvidia seems to be more professional then ATI, better support and stuff.

  • well not really amd really has stepped up by buying ati and making very good cards. nvidia will actually fix drivers very fast ati does a decent job but its hard to make a driver that your card isnt compatible with in the first place

  • I hope Ati starts to step up the driver making, because their are a lot cheaper then Nvidia

  • hmmmm im thinking of getting a gtx 285 but what about the ati radeon 4870 1gb from xfx i have one but my pc broke so i cant test crysis or anything ^^

  • You should buy two gtx 275 :)

  • hmmm once i come off my holidays i will save for an gtx 275 yeah :)

  • XFX is amazing... i have my xfx 8800GT and run crysis and crysis warhead on max setting and get 30+ fps,

    2GB ram

    8800GT

    e6850

  • 285 on that resolution...sigh...

  • I forgot to set it on 1650x1080 :)

  • Waiting for my 285 now...=)

b.t.w. lol that rig and playing a FPS with a controller.

  • what is the best 9800GTX or 285? Please Help!

  • The GTX 285 is about twice as fast as the 9800 gtx.

But if you want the max perfomace out of the gtx 285, you need a poweful cpu...

  • the GTX 285 is NOT twice as fast as a 9800GTX. seeing as two cards in SLI gives you about 180% more performance than just one card, are you saying that a GTX 285 gives you 20% more performance than a 9800GTX SLI setup? cause that makes no sense.

  • Sorry, if it doesnt make sense to you.

  • it's not true, i just thought i'd point that out.

  • Google: "9800 GTX vs GTX 285" and see for your self.

  • uh, yeah. i have. but i can do one better than that. i can go straight to the nvidia site. which just so happens to say that a GTS 250 (rebranded 9800GTX+) has a texture fill rate of 47.2 billion pixels a second. from the same page...a GTX 285 has a texture fill rate of 51.8 billion. does that look like double? no, it doesn't.

  • On graphics performance it says x29 on the 9800GTX and x49 on the GTX 285. Thats almost twice as fast.

  • i don't see that on the site but even so 29x2 = 58 which is 9 away from 49. if x29 is enough to play a game like warhead on very high settings then x9 (being about a third of that) is still a good amount of power. it still isn't twice as good.

  • Okay, you win.
