Why do people pay like 400 - 500 bucks to get the game early? I heard some k-mart fucked up and sold the game early a bit because there was no "don't sell until ***" sticker on them. There are the limits to the P2P structure given the varied quality of the multiplayer connections. B-Ops tried to alleviate this with the "locale" and "locale only" options, and had some limited success with creating better match-ups when set up in those modes.

Games of MW3 would have limited numbers of players in online multiplayer in pre-release days, so match making wouldn't be the greatest. A better filter for match making would cause longer time to get into games, so there is no easy fix.

I hope Steve's experience with the lag isn't carried over into the game after release date. One of the most frustrating things in Black Ops was the connection advantage/disadvantage. Being killed behind walls when kill cams showed you someplace in the open was rage inducing. Hearing that it seemed worse in MW3 is not encouraging.

There are no servers, it's still based on P2P, which means host migration and lag issues are not going away in MW3. Infinity Ward have said they can't provide dedicated servers because of the infrastructure required for such a large user base.

Treyarch made their big change between WaW and Black Ops, not to mention that every Treyarch game before that was the exact same. So between MW2 and 3, there are changes, but minor changes. Expect the same in the next 3arc game. Ny the way, you're going to get MW3 eventually, don't say you're not. Hop off the MW3 hatewagon and don't be a 3arc fanboy.
