Absolutely fantastic rendition: perfect tempo, good use of expression (decrescendo at 4:35 where others so often just keep blaring on, and swell pedal), and so full of passion and fire! Heerlijk!
@VepresduCommun I don't think it's on youtube. The slower tempo makes it sound more majestic as opposed to virtuous. If you are really interested, please contact me by PM ;)
Please mind the much longer reverb in Rouen compared to the Laurenskerk at Rotterdam which would ask for the slower tempo. For Rotterdam, it 's perfect.
So, according to your theory, the lesser the amount of reverberation, the slower the tempo? I believe the tempo in which K.J. Mulder plays it at Rouen is perfect regardless of the amount of reverb...
No the more reverb, the slower the tempo needed to play Widor's Toccata as crisp as Hayo's playing it in Rotterdam. A lesser amount of reverb allows for a quicker pace without losing the 'transparency'.

Is de opname van Mulder ook ergens te vinden op Youtube? Heb al gezocht, maar kan hem niet vinden!

Prima uitgevoerd! Prachtig gebruik ook gemaakt van de zwelkast.

I like it even slower. Listen to Klaas Jan Mulder playing it at Rouen. That's my favourite interpretation ;-)

Slower...? I'm not sure I would like it. Where can I find the Mulder-interpretation at Rouen at You Tube?

Precise, joyful and the right tempo. And the organ is brilliant. With Briggs the best execution of Widor's famous Toccata. Congratulations!
