Junkheap is one of the harder to find Generations TFs to find. Second on that list would probably be Wheeljack Generations..both are great toys.

I was wondering what the notches were in the seat. Btw, if you can get them to balance the other Gererations models will ride on Junkheap as well.

@DarthRemey You didn't see Scrapheap, you saw Junkheap. Scrapheap is an e-hobby exclusive. You would of had to go to Botcon I believe it was last year that it was available. You may still be able to order it online from e-hobby's web site. Junkheap is a general release that you can find at any store.

There is a total of three different "Junkions" , Wreck-Gar, Scrapheap and Junkheap. Only two are available at retail. Scrap Heap has a different head sculpt and is colored dark brown, red and grey with silver wheels.

I actually found that the 5 inch Doctor Who, 11th Doctor figure rides the Wreck Gar mold perfectly. I tried it and took pictures of the 11th Doctor with the fez and mop, he is holding the mop Don Quiote style LOL.

re: scrapheap. He was the ehobby redeco. Had a different paint job and a different head, looks really nothing like junkheap (except that they use the same base figure). United just had wreck gar. Same head but with a shinier red paint job. So the mold has been released four times with four different decos and three different heads.

Hey Graham, I got these two guys from Kapow too. They arrived on Friday, really impressed with the silver paint on both of these figures. I am kinda liking Sky (Black) Shadow more than Thunderwing too now lol

I passed on Thunderwing, but really like the look of Skyshadow. I think I'll have to pick him up. And Junkheap has a much more muted yellow than official pics gave him. I was gonna pass, but he looks alright here. And he has a tie.

I think it may be Sky Shadow because Nintendo might have the trademark for Black Shadow as that's the name of the big bad from F-Zero.

Hate to say it... but one almost wishes that Thunderwing/Black Shadow could get oversized KOs that make them Voyager or Leader size. >_>

Alternatively... Frenzy_Rumble, and others, have made rather nifty sculpt/paint mods onto an Energon Meg/Galvatron to turn him into Thunderwing... looks fantastic.

@thecollector75 I'm excited to be able to have back up junkion #1 and backup junkion #2 but I never found a wreck gar here. They made a fucking amazing update to one of the more unique g1 characters and then only released a handful. Now people are fighting for them and charging crazy mark ups on ebay. It pisses me off that I can buy, if I wanted 9 kups. Right now. I am at my local target looking at the rack. 9 kups, 2 wheel jacks, 4 thundercrackers.

Actually... Scrapheap and Junkheap have completely different heads and paint apps. Essentially there's 3 retools to the Junkion cycle: Wreck-Gar, E-Hobby Scrapheap, and Junkheap (Junkyard). You can troop build these guys and give them new heads and armor bits if you order parts from MAIDEN JAPAN via TFW2005's boards.

As you said, most likely copyright kept Hasbro from calling him Black Shadow.

Now if only I could find these in stores now... (esp TRU had BOGO for all figures in my area...)

Nice review. Black Shadow is the name of a very famous british motorcycle. I believe it was the fastest production bike for decades. Its also the name of a character from Nintendos F- Zero series of games. Perhaps the big N has the rights to the name in the west (he may be called something else in Japan). I don´t know really, I am car guy myself and rarely play games from Nintendo.
