  • enough with the peace symbols, we all know you love violence, lol

  • Letterman asking Tarantino if there is pressure working with stars? Does Samuel L Jackson, John Travolta, George Clooney, Harvey Kietel, Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Christopher Walken and Robert De Niro ring a bell? God I hate Letterman. He tries to be funny, I get it, but comedy should run along the lines of intelligence and making sense.

  • @SerlingPictures yeesss

  • Top 5 filmmakers of all time

  • I LOVE ALL HIS MOVIES! FUCKING GOOD DIRECTOR!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Letterman seems to dislike Tarantino quite a lot. He didn't hide it, either.

  • This man is a genius.

  • wtf is with that shit at 1:25 "We'd rather have brad pitt." Jesus, what a jerkoff...that's no why to treat your guests letterman. what a homo

  • Quentin Tarantino is the closest thing that ever came to the coolest guy on earth...

  • Why did they add music in this clip.

  • the way he uses music in his films, dear god. brilliant.

  • Quentin is awesome!

  • it looks like he's on coke

  • If Chris Nolan impregnated Sergio Leone and that baby was later adopted and raised by Martin Scorsese and Stanley Kubrick, it would be(apart from a lot of gay romance) Quentin Tarantino.

  • @brybry19871987 Please don't mention Nolan in the same sentence with Leone and Tarantino.....

  • @vitezjura Oh so Nolan isn't a good director? Memento? The Prestige? Insomnia? Dark Knight? none of those movies were directed well huh? Shut the fuck up hater.

  • @brybry19871987 Those movies you listed are ok movies, I like Memento and Insomnia. But they are not revolutionary movies. Does Nolan write his own stuff? What is Nolan's style?

You can't put him on a same lvl as artists that write and direct their stuff and have complete creative control and a unique style. Artists like Leone or Tarantino. Nolan is a very good director, he is not a genius. Sucks for him.

  • @vitezjura ummm...yes he does write his own stuff. Your just shit talking I can see that now, your just too rebellious and cool to like someone that is popular. Go to bed kid.

  • @brybry19871987 I am cool. It is just that Nolan is not in the same category as Leone, Kubrick and Tarantino and if you can't see that then you're the kid. If Nolan writes his own stuff then he mostly writes unoriginal stuff except for Memento. So no wonder I don't know him. If he was original with unique style maybe I would look him up and know.

Leone revolutionized westerns, he made a whole new style and genre. Nolan writes and directs good crime dramas. You can't compare a genius to mediocre

  • @brybry19871987 Just so you know - Shyamalan is 10 times better than Nolan. Burton is 10 times better. Nolan is too generic to be taken seriously. If you want to be an artist, then make something that belongs only to you.

  • @brybry19871987 Also in your original post "If Nolan impregnated Leone" lololol

In that relationship Nolan can only suck Leone's dick. Then Kubrick, Tarantino, Burton, Shyamalan would gather around Nolan and do a bukake on his face.

  • @vitezjura Shyamalan?!? hahahahahaha my god dude who are you? besides a fucking idiot?

  • @brybry19871987 Someone who can appreciate when an artist has his own voice and a message besides being talented and good at directing.

Look now, Nolan is universally praised because he does the safe thing always. He had some stones when he made Memento, but other than that it is one safe movie after the other.

And Shymalan is someone who will risk it and it backfired at him because a lot of fans can't recognize it. By the way, Unbreakable is on Tarantino's list of top 20 movies from 92 to 02.

  • @vitezjura well at least you said he's talented and a good director. Nolan and his brother have written most of their movies, and Inception is one of the most brilliant concepts and movies that I've ever seen. Your just a hater who is "too cool" to like someone new. So go watch The Happening or The Last Air Bender and fuck off.

  • Okay, now you see, what separates me, okay, from like, other hollywood directors, okay, is that I have a huge head, alright? No I don't mean I have like a big ego, okay, because I don't, alright? I mean my actual head is huge, alright? I have to sleep sitting up, okay? Like the Elephant man, alright, or i'll die, okay? But get this though, okay: it was my huge head, alright, that thought up who was perfect, okay, to play Marcellus's wife, okay?

  • @chevypillow247 douchebag, not him, you.

  • 3:51(laugh)-3:57(totally serious)LOL

  • I love quentin tarintino soo much i never used to like action / violent films, but i watched reservoir dogs and i fell in love with his movies, still need to watch inglourious at some point

  • "Course of your lifetime you'll see it a second time" I think I watched Pulp Fiction over a dozen times. He truly is the greatest director.

  • keep replaying at 1:29

  • @Rokuskai =))))))))

  • I love it when Tarantino says Alright.

  • Letterman is such a twat

  • fucking tl;dr all up in these comments

  • too much cheeks in the show

  • Chris Nolan and Quentin Tarantino for president and vice president!

  • @dARthbAtMAN007 gahhhhhh i have sour taste, dont use chris nolan in the same sentence as a master like quentin tarantino. WTF ARE YOU THINKINg. dont compare the guy who made some comic book films to the mastermind of pulp fiction.

  • @malows1234 clearly you haven't seen Memento....

  • @KayWildcat LOL, memento, you know M Night Shayamalan made one great film too.......lol. dont start with compare nolan to tarantino, cause tarantino is blazing original filmmaker, doesn't make comic book films. next i suppose you will compare nolan to kubrick and make it look more foolish?

  • @malows1234 It's actually you who are making a fool of yourself. When did I compare him to Tarantino? I know where Nolan stands from Tarantino, I'm not stupid. However, you clearly are....making a comic book film is all of a sudden bad? The Dark Knight places its concept from comic books, but it is its own movie and a brilliantly crafted film at that. Is it overrated...yes, but its success is completely justified.

I can tell you are a very close-minded person when it comes to films.

  • @KayWildcat i am sorry i have trouble respecting anyone as an artist, when their movies sell action figures and end up on cereal boxes. yes that includes chris nolan, and it also includes fagboi goerge lucas and michael bay, you wanna call these guys artists? go for it. but to me they are commercial filmmakers who love filling up their bank account. tarantino on the other hand doesn't fking do that.

  • @malows1234 Your perception of the film industry is quite corrupt. Filmmaking is an art form & making a judgement on it's source & approach must have a strong basis. I don't see Bay as a very good artist because I don't see him embracing art through his films. However, Nolan is different. Whether you don't like movies that are big makes no difference. Even Cameron is an artist (although not a fan).

The scale of promotion for an art form does not speak for the art itself.

  • @KayWildcat nolan and cameron must enjoy watching little kids play with action figures inspired by their movies, yup they must just love it when little kids get them at mcdonalds. you know man, i make an honest living, a modest but honest living and i can sleep at night knowing i did a noble thing, quentin tarantino can sleep at night knowing he is a noble artist, but nolan and cameron shud have some fuking pride wher they get the money they use to feed their children. THEY DONT NEED THAT much.

  • @malows1234 No, of course not, no one needs that much. But it's not like he keeps it and offers nothing back. His films are pieces of art that show a great deal of talent invested from a true artist. Now, if your talking about pride....then you don't know Tarantino. He is one of the filmmakers who just walks around, head filled with the pride carries. But like other artist, he deserves too. Besides, Tarantino would probably love action figures on his films...even though you wouldn't.

  • @KayWildcat dude a true artist? really? perhaps he is. but not really. here is why, look at the films of Stanley Kubrick. Stanley kubrick spent years and years researching his movies alone, and then did hundreds upon hundreds of takes, he was a perfectionist, he made the movie on his own time, his own way. he didn't ever feel obliged to release sequels. he was an artist, the truest one. if nolan is indeed an artist, he is certianly a Lesser artist than Stanley Kubrick.

  • @malows1234 The more and more you reply...the more you emphasize how close-minded you are....so you base your view on an artist based on comparison? Yep, that's weak. Kubrick is among the greatest of the great. He's never made a remake, never made a sequel and stands to be an original storyteller. That doesn't mean Spielberg isn't an artist. It doesn't mean Scorsese isn't an artist. Nolan is a storyteller who merges quality with large scale filmmaking...he proves that with his films.

  • @KayWildcat i see where your coming from. but lets be honest, there are still a few poeple like paul thomas anderson who work on kubrick's level. nolan ain't one of them. there are only a few people like stanley kubrick, but thats what we need to realize, that people like nolan and spielberg are brilliant filmmakers, Excellent filmmakers. but they are not artists. now paul thomas anderson is an artist, thats for sure. but you know wat i am saying, talent does not equal being an artist.

  • @malows1234 I also see what you are saying, but I really don't like the way you view the shell of an "artist"....so with what your are saying, a really good painter is not an artist if he does not produce artwork of the stands of The Garden of Delights or The Virgin?....or a film composer is not an artist unless he meets the heights of John Williams' Schindler's List?....that's moronic. Where these artists stand in comparison is irrelevent...it results to what film if for them.

  • @KayWildcat thats not wat i am saying at all. put it this way simple and pure, when you see a chris nolan film, cameron film, spielberg film, you can dam well be sure it will be awesome, however those could have belonged to anyone. i watched nolan's films and they rock, however they dont have a fingerprint on their work. when you watch kubrick lol, not only do you know kubrick made it, but it practically screams to your eyes, with the themes he explores and the long takes. you know wat i mean?

  • @malows1234 Yeah, I understand that, and I completely agree with you on that sense. Very few filmmakers match Kubrick's standards in the world of filmmaking...(well he's actually his own....and others their own). However, I am specifically breaking down the value of the term "artist". I don't see how Chris Nolan or Steven Spielberg won't qualify as artists? It just makes no sense to me? Tarantino is an artist, but Nolan and Spielberg are just filmmakers?

  • @KayWildcat ya they are artists i suppose, but they are too restrictive in their own way. like nolan makes a pg 13 dark knight movie, when you and i both know that it fuking bothers everyone when a bank manager takes 4 bullets to the body and doesn't have one drop of blood come out. i am saying that nolan is way better than the films he has been making. he should be doing things like memento. not the stupid batman movies or inception. there are many other filmmakers who could and have done those

  • @KayWildcat And kubrick is a really really bad example on my part. its like saying every scientist is a dumbfuck cause they aren't as smart as einstien. like ok kubrick is a benchmark that almost no filmmaker can or will reach. i dont think anyone like kubrick will ever exist. i mean he had absolute freedom, he took years to make films if he needed to, and did them the way he wanted to, NOONE, even warner brothers dared interfere with him. i doubt a studio will let a director do that these days

  • @malows1234 Yeah, well that's actually a position that several directors could have now. However, now it's because of the huge success one could achieve. I mean Cameron will probably make Avatar 2 with only his own boundaries. Nobody will intefere with his creative space after the success Avatar has achieved. Either way, filmmakers like Kubrick are hard to find. He is definately one of the boldest storytellers to ever make a film.

However, my favourite filmmaker is Scorsese.

  • @KayWildcat here is the difference though between kubrick and (cameron/nolan). Just because cameron could make avatar 2 the way he wanted to, doesn't mean that he will make it with a boldness. he knows dam well the audience he is trying to appeal to. Stanley kubrick is unique because once he got the power to make films the way he wanted to, he made them the way he wanted to, he didn't give a shit about controversy or anything. he made what he wanted to make. i doubt anyone will be as bold as him

  • JEW pOWER!

  • Tarantino is my favorite director and people that say he's a genius are right. I read that he has an IQ close to 160. He needs to work on his social skills though...

  • 4:47 *David understands what Tarantino meant @ 1:07*

  • Quentin Tarantino = Awesome

  • Probibly my favorite scene in this movie was the bar scene where the gestapo officer joins in on the conversation they are having. Although i thought Christopher Waltz was amazing in the film August Diehl´s character made an impression on me that i will never forget. One of the most brilliant portrails i have seen in cinema

  • @swedishbutcher Slaps Stiglitz on the shoulder and says, "Play." Stiglitz is pissed. lmfao every time!!!

  • He's awesome!

  • I saw it a hundred times....... not once, not twice,,,,,,, a hundred

  • does tarantino deliblerately act awkward?

  • Fantastic <3

  • David Letterman is such an "asshole" to him, because he knows that Quentin isn't taking it personal, because he's too smart and too big for that.,

Letterman is showing him his respect in that way.

  • david letterman is such an ass.

  • Tarantino is way smarter than Letterman. That's why Letterman is such a dick to him.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE his Laugh :)

  • Tarantino sounds and looks like a premature ejaculator. Also his vomit of a face somewhat reminds me of my cock.

  • @Maloperverso Yet he's achieved more in 5 minutes than you will in a lifetime.

  • @Maloperverso but he is more talented than you can imagine that that stretches far past looks

  • his chin

  • Stop asking about Brad Pitt you dbag, Quentin Tarantino is AMAZING.

  • Letterman doesn't give Tarantino any feedback when he makes jokes, especially when he impersonates Hitler. Total buzzkill, but good thing Tarantino is relentless

  • Letterman sucks, he's been around so long it's like he doesn't even try or give a damn anymore. Plus he just comes off like a pompous ass.

  • I liked all of his other movies but I didn't really like inglorious basterds...

  • haha the band is playing Gloria

  • I don't understand how Tarantino can be such an annoying, unfunny prick yet make such brilliant and hilarious movies. NONE of the characters in his movies are anything like him. They have charm, wit, and style- things Tarantino sorely lacks.

  • I don't like the way he talks about Brad Pitt all the time, cutting Quentin off to ask about Brad

  • im in love with him. he's so perfectly awkward.

  • He's a great director, sure. But he's also so goddamn in love with himself. It's very off-putting.

  • He's a great director, sure. But he's also so fucking in love with himself. It's very off-putting.

  • leone, scorsese, kubrick, tarantino, the coen brothers

  • @ShawniBawni u forgot hitchcock and nolan

  • Native Americans= the only true americans

  • @Sithemp11 "In our losing we found proudness In your winning you found shame"

  • @johnkiedis27 The name "America" derives from the name "Amerigo" which is spanish. So in a way they're absolutely not American, but in another way they're totally are American.

  • @johnkiedis27 actually they are from asia hahaha

  • @firebadger101 my point is that they are the only people that deserve too live there

  • @johnkiedis27 How do you figure?

  • @johnkiedis27 Well let's not forget, even the Native Americans migrated across the Bering Strait from Siberia/Asia around 15,000 years ago. So more accurately:

Prairie Dogs= the only true americans

  • I think conan and Tarintino would be a good match for a talk show they r both so eccentric.

  • I've probably watched Pulp Fiction 2000000 times. And could watch it 200000 times again

  • David doesn't look happy

  • Where can I get a suit like Quentin's?

  • @FloridasSon 7 letters F.U.C.K O.F.F

  • pulp fiction arguebaly one of the best films for the past 3 decades

  • Poop.le Fiction

  • Inglorious Basterds was AWESOME!

  • coffee beverages!

  • Comment removed

  • @Rachulie I meant he does not discriminate them.

  • @Rachulie he's prejudiced against less famous people. He's only nice to few people he actually likes. I don't blame him for being so grumpy all the time. The man's been in the business for so long. I can totally understand.

  • A MUSICA É DE UMA BANDA FRANCESA CHAMADA MANO NEGRA. JA VIERAM AO BRASIL INICIO ANOS 90. DO CARALHO!!!!!

  • so is he only civil to famous people? i hear he's a TOTAL DiCK to "commoners"

  • I applauded at the end.

It's almost three in the morning.

  • The host of this show said he would rather have Brad Pitt, what kind of an idiot would want him over this genius!

  • I want that chin.

  • I wanna marry this man. He's single, right? Such a talented person. His mind is so awesome and warped, I love his concepts and the dialogue he puts in his films. Sooo good. Damn, I love him.

  • I wish Letterman's first name was Richard.

  • @PrimaveraPictures is letterman jewish? lol

  • 123450

  • Haha! Quentin says 'Yeah I know...' in a hushed whisper about Cristoph's talents, like he's afraid speaking to loudly of them will drain him of his legendary immense powers.

  • quentin should slap that interviewer... clean across the face, maybe thatd make him look almost remotely interested

  • I like Letterman, but I didnt like how he kept asking about Brad Pitt, when Brad Pitt, wasnt even close to the best part of Inglorious Basterds. I didnt think this was a very good interview.

  • I love qt but my are the Coen bros.

  • Quentin Tarantino is amazing! Pulp fiction is still one of my favorite movies.

  • tarantino is surely a smart man.. he knows what he's talking about always :)

  • brad pitt spoiled that movie for me he didnt act like he used to

  • @pollockdonald ha i think the same, thought i was crazy for thinking it lol, everyone loves him in it but i can actually see him acting every time he talks in that film

  • @scorjamsey yeah he should have acted like he did in fight club or snatch i reckon benicio del toro could have played that part perfect or michael madsen

  • I wouldn't rather Brad Pitt :)

  • Letterman is gay for Brad Pitt

  • What a cool guy

  • Can anyone help me please?! Quentin says that he uses something from Sergio Leone's spagetti western films i need to know what it is for an essay, its something like inomoncony, but i KNOW that spelling is incorrect. 5:25 is that part i'm on about. Thanks! :D

  • Personally I think Letterman doesn't like Quentin. This is because of his job being a presenter and him wanting to be the boss. And him and Quentin clash because Quentin likes to talk about movies, his and the other films he takes inspiration from, and also the total insides and all the details. So Letterman feels damaged in his own environment. Side note, Quentin Tarantino is on my favourite directors ever.

  • 6:40 kind of a creepy whisper haha

  • Ahhh, good ol' Joseph Goebbels, I heard he works at Fox News nowadays.

  • he is very strange. probably not altogether mentally stable.

  • gosh he's so annoying.. I gotta leave. Even Dave hate having him there... lol

  • Finally a late night show where they don't cut out the clip.

Lots of thanks to the editor.

  • Thank god...its nice to see someone so educated in hollywood!

  • David Letterman is behaving like an inglorious Bastard! LOL

  • @SkitzoMultiple and he'd be a damn good one too

  • Quentin Tarantino is a genius filmmaker. One of my favorites by far.

  • I don't watch Letterman. Is he usually this rude to all of his guests?

  • @ninmachine109 Rude? Take a joke pal.

  • @lollerz16 just asking a simple question pal. I didn't mean to strike a nerve there

  • @ninmachine109 You said he was rude. That's not asking a question. That's making a big mis-judgement.

  • @lollerz16 See the question mark after my second sentence? That would be a question moron

  • @ninmachine109 Part of your question was to do with Letterman being rude. This is not the case. Therefore, your question is null and void. Good day Sir.

  • @lollerz16 wow, stay in school kids. right back at ya

  • @ninmachine109 Go eat poo.

  • @ninmachine109 cmon...its comedy

  • @ninmachine109 but yeah...he is in-yo-face kinda guy

  • @SkitzoMultiple Hahah XD

  • Tarantino, one of the greatest!

  • Awesome movie very very good story and amazing characters.

  • Him ,Rob zombie, Eli roth ,Wes Craven and Alex Aja Are my idols in the directing business.

  • @Avatar7811 Yah Me too !

  • CORRECT ME IF I"M WRONG< WITHOUT ANY INSULTS, BUT TARANTINO TALKS WEIRD, I THINK HE IS GAY !!!!

  • @ahmedhow No, i don't think so !

  • why does he remind me of Quagmire

  • @HDWithStyle I KNOW RIGHT

  • i dont see how he's a great director. he's like hitchcock: ok plot but dragged out for ages.

maybe ppl are just obsessed with him because everyone else is?

  • Tarantino is a god

  • 8 people haven't seen Pulp Fiction.

  • Tarantino freaks me out. But he's great at what he does.

  • Tarantino is a SICK director (both meanings)

  • tarentino is such a freak !!!

    but a great script writer

  • tarentino is such a freak !!!

    but great script writer
