  • Nice tut - very easy to follow. Thanks for posting these!

  • so basically default is sierra online and 9 verb is lucasarts

  • @qeeneen You are an idiot

  • @zwerty007 No need for that.

  • Turn 'Transcribe Audio On' and go to around 00:56 and you get a rather interesting message

  • I actually the same problem with camstudio for showing the mouse cursor. It's simple to fix, just go into the options and select "cursor options" and clipck "hide cursor" I had the same problem recording a lets play with that.

  • Densming, Just so you know, if you ever use camstudio, if you go in to the Cursor Options and select hide cursor... that Vista cursor does not appear... BUT, you do not get a cursor when doing anything else... Hope this helps you if you need it...

  • HAH! I thought that character looked suspiciously like Roger Wilco!

  • @zwerty007

Gooey is just a cute nickname for GUI's. He was perfectly okay in using it. I'm a professional software developer and me and my coworkers use it all the time.

  • i don´t get it, every time i create a background and test the game, the colors are psychedelic and full of glitches.Only thing i´m doing is using a simple bmp file as the background, and really nothing else.

  • Do you think you could make a video on how to MAKE your own sprite and import it plz!

Nice tutorials bye the way! =)

  • I wanna make a game about McDonald's.

  • Your meant 2 say G U Is not gooies.

  • Dude, I'm pretty sure all built in motherboard graphics cards, even the really crappy ones, can handle 32bit colour.

Otherwise the tutorials so fare seem really good.

  • I can see this is going to take a while to get through them all.. however, very helpful cheers

  • Thanks a ton, this was well made and very helpful!

  • makebsure the resolution on the sprite is set right. (Look at the properties pane when u hAve the sprite selected.) also, the sprite you have needs to be the right size for your background. If all else fails you can play with the scaling of the character (see the video on Scaling). Hope that helps!

  • I'm trying to draw a scaracter but every time I go to import him into the sprite menu It's either really tiny or extremely large. Do you have any suggestions?

  • Nice tuts... i was wondering how you make your camstudio to zoom in... ive gone through like all the options and i cant find anything for zooming...

  • oh, I'm using Camtasia Studio now instead of CamStudio for that very reason. I recorded these first 3 or 4 vids with CamStudio and then went back and edited them with Camtasia. Now I've stopped using CamStudio altogether. Camtasia does a better job with showing the proper mouse cursors as well.

  • Yeah thanks for the tutorial =)

  • Guys I think you rule! I'll read all your tuts and I hope I get something good :)

May I just say something? I think the GUI's are pronounced Ji Iu Ai's , not Guis... :) But then I might be wrong...

Good job, keep it up :)

  • Thanks for the comments :-) I've heard GUIs pronounced both ways. I've always said it Guis but some people say each letter. Guess it's just a matter of preference.

  • usually in the software industry it's common to say Guis and not G-U-I

  • @static1200 And i think you have terrible apostrophe etiquette.

  • @zwerty007 Damn, I wrote that 2 years ago. Excuse me. . .
