  • Hello I think your design idea is great.

I am going to use it after I buy a couple of GM15 motors. How did you build the chassis? Did you make it by hand or with the help of a machine(CNC) ? Did you design the chassis with the help of a software tool (CAD)? For me, the mechanics is the hardest part and given the small size I think it will get harder for this project :)

    Cheers

Hello. I made the robot with lathe (wheels) and milling machine (body). These machines were not CNC (controlled by computer). For designing I usually use AutoCAD, ProEngineer or SolidWorks, but for this simple design I just draw my idea on paper.

  • =_= it just goes in circles o.o doesnt seem to "high tech"

  • make it a tiny bit bigger and you could add a camera but the robot would need a power supply cable then :/ so you could make 2 diffferent ones one is basicallt a really small RC car the other is a camera for seeing things you can't normally see becuase its down in a small space they could even add IR led's so it can have nightvision...

  • Small but what happens when you add a computer and batteries to it?

  • There is a battery in the bottom of the robot (40mAh Lithium-polymer cell). Only thing that is not installed is PCB with microcontroller. It will be in the front face of the robot. Maximal dimensions of final robot will be the same as now.

  • Right, I saw the battery the second time viewing the video. What are you planning on doing with it?

  • All these tiny robots have either giant 5 foot whiskers or thin, very long 9 foot tails
