Man I miss my '93 pajero. Such a good car. Was the only car in my convoy through the deserts of Jordan that did not have to deflate the tires. The '07 Pajero and Land cruiser Prado had to!

Yes I have one too and quite agree!! Unfortunately though, as I wanted a manual transmission gearbox, I had to make do with the 3litre petrol engine here in Japan. If I have any criticisms of the Pajero, it would be the following two:

1. The roof can only support a load of 50kg. Too small to be practical.

2. The number plate on the back wheel, although aesthetically nice, is impractical. In Japan they are affixed with an official seal, rendering this space a dead one.

I think the max allowed roof load is 100kg's here in europe.

Of course the support/limit is not because of strength, probably because of handling effect. The roof should anyway able to be hold at least 2,3 tonnes if the car rolls over . . .

I like pajero sport, coz it have 2 way drive system, it mean it can change from manual to auto drive just by one gear!

Of course the Pajero. But dont buy yet, there is coming facelift soon, new engines and little uprages. Like Max. Towing capacity to 3500kg. The Toyota Land Cruiser 120 series can only tow 2800kg's.

The bigger Land Cruiser V8 is not in same class with Pajero, it costs twice more.

As far as I know, the facelift is for 2009 model. It is still on its way to here, Europe. But correct specs seem to be available at least on some pages.

Australian webpage said, that this is last refresh for this 3-4gen Pajero, before completely new Pajero model in 2010. So, if that is true, there would be totally new model in 2010 - 2011. :P

Mitsubishi is real stupid. I have a 2002 Montero Limited..such a great SUV, love everything about it. They stopped making the Montero for us Americans...THEY HAVE TO BRING THIS NEW ONE BACK, its magnificant!
