  • Yeah sure. Cuz a bear that can run as fast as a freight train is running at a guy at like 5 mph. I know it was a reenactment, but they coulda done better.

  • Ned couldn't prevent forest fires

  • Most hunters understand they are in the animals home, and while most bears are "bearish" if you get into their territory or come between momma and cub(s), sometimes they let people know that they can out EVERYTHING a man.

I have a video on my channel of a black bear in the mountain of NC warning me when I get too close. I was hiking and observed a giant black bear enjoying a camper's backpack.

The bear let me know when I got between it and the next backpack. :D

  • Nope. Chuck Testa.

  • I salute the bear for killing a hunter.

  • @ForTruthandPeace Fuck you and your vagina!

  • @fyafyta13

    :P

  • @ForTruthandPeace I wish you get killed too someday by an other living being, which is called a bacteria :-)

  • @061369317

    you too :D

  • @ForTruthandPeace nice dude

  • @061369317 but people kill bears just for their fur and meat.

  • don't shoot!

  • so he just shoots something that was moving in the bushes? what if that was a person?? i guess the bear was doing us a favour lol geez know what your shooting at before you shoot your gun what an idiot move yo

  • What is the name of this show?

  • in soviet russia, bear shoot you

  • @minion158 =O

  • Goodnight Ned........

  • go without weapons fucker man....u die in 1 minute !

  • woah,scary!

  • W il Bear ;D:..

  • Damn nature, you scary!

  • woah !

  • Well, hunters, what comes around goes around.

  • @SnappyPenguins As bears are hunters too, the same applies to them. Don't waste your time answering (or rather do it, I never read replies on YT) the ages-old argument about instinct. If hunting wasn't man's instinct too, where would we be now ? Nature and life are struggle, live with it man...and keep on trusting others to feed you and protect your precious ass.

  • that is realy scary

  • All you animal rights people need to wake up. I'm an avid hunter but i also believe in animal rights as well. I only kill what i eat, including bear. If we were to live by your views, we would be in huge trouble! Deer over population in many states is a huge problem, forcing states wildlife managment to issue extra permits and even add more hunting seasons to try and get a control of the deer population which in Nebraska alone, is 250,000.

  • 1:40, shotgun? lol

  • i hate hunters. We live in 2011, we can buy the food we need in stores, we don't need to hunt animals anymore

  • @thedreamportal Is that a joke? You're superior because you eat animals that have been raised in captivity, branded, drugged up, castrated, and butchered in an assembly line? Allowing them to grow up free in the wild and one day be taken down with a single shot is the bigger evil, worthy of HATRED? Maybe think that stance through a little more.

  • @AWickedMind I hate that too. If I could have it my way we would have no stores and we would have to kill everything we want to eat. I just thought that the big factories who sell meat from animals is slaughtering alot of them, so killing them in the wild TOO...well, there won't be any animals left in some 50 years or so...

  • @AWickedMind Seriously dude? Have fun hunting in the woods while I relax and eat a cheeseburger on my back porch. Why make life harder than it is?

  • @roshidon First of all, not a dude. Secondly, never been hunting. I'm simply defending hunting to people who think it's cruel. Consuming grocery meat is by far the crueler of the two options, considering what those animals go through, and it's the option that I myself practice every day, but that doesn't mean I have any illusions about it. If people want to go hunt down meat that's lead a free, happy life and end it quick, more power to them. They're better than we are.

  • Well of course the bear attacked his ass. What do you want him to do? "Uhm, scuze me sir, but you're kinda shooting at me. I'll let you of with a warning, 'kay? Okay. I'll just go away now and do bear things."

  • @blindbrowneyes I HIGHLY doubt that the man just simply *saw* the grizzly and thought it'd be funny to shoot at. Hunters are especially aware that it often takes several rounds to bring down a bear and that they can kill you in a lot less time than it takes to squeeze off all those shots. So there's no way that he would have just randomly decided to risk his life and attack first. They weren't hunting bear. Obviously the bear was charging/attacking when he made that shot.

  • @AWickedMind I believe you are correct. I vaguely recall having seen this episode when it aired on tv. To the best of my recollection it was actually his first shot (where the other guy said he heard it and looked up to see him on the hillside) that brought down a deer or some such animal. It was the dead deer that brought in the bear. The bear caught him somewhat by surprise and unfortunately he was not able to save his own life.

    Again, if I recall correctly.

  • does anyone have the full episode?

  • Shoot it Ned, theyre comming right for us!

  • @Delrich14 MMMNNNNTHEY'RE COMIN' RIGHT FOR US

  • Life for a life.

  • @Mechatron1cs Oh really? Ever eaten a cheeseburger? Oh well then I guess you deserve to be gored to death by a bull. Life for a life right? Get real man. You know where food comes from. If you seriously think you are so much better than people that hunt because you don't ever have to see the animal that went into your meal get killed you are just a sad, sad hypocritical person and I have immense pity for you.

  • @Mechatron1cs I really have nothing of value to say, I just want to fill up your inbox with more comment for making such a stupid post.

  • people enjoy hunting i love hunting whether it be rat or elk hunting when ur in a life or death situation u feel a rush like no other a 800 pound 8 foot grizzly charging u while u cock ur rifle is a rush some people love

  • Killing all these animals for 15 years, one time the animals fight back and they think it's tragic.

  • @DrInfidel well, it is tragic. if your family and/or friends was attacked and killed by a bear, you would not be saying "well, humans have been killing bears for years..." you would say "I want those bears dead."

  • @TheSockGuyBFMP If a bear comes and attacks you while you are minding your own business, that's a different story. But these people are hunters, they kill animals as a hobby, so when one of them gets killed by an animal, I can't find any empathy for them.

  • @DrInfidel do you eat meat?

  • @TheSockGuyBFMP Nope. If I did, it would be very hypocritical of me.

  • @DrInfidel to each their own, I am on the humans side (not to say that I think we should kill all animals, but I am more empathetic then most people). It pains me to think of the families and friends who will feel the pain of a lost friend. It is interesting that you feel nothing for these people, they were not hunters. but, I suspect you will say they deserved their pain as well?

  • @TheSockGuyBFMP Animals are also capable of suffering and experiencing pain. It is sad that the hunter's family and loved ones experience pain as well, I am not thrilled by their sadness. No one deserves pain, but because of that person, many animals have suffered, and if he lived, countless others would have suffered still. So him dying achieves the greater good.

  • @DrInfidel Animals do suffer. but not in the same way that a human does (the exception being any of the apes, which have a very wide range of emotion and actually grieve over lost ones). A shark would sooner eat it's own kids then would try and protect them (generally speaking). to say that the bears "loved ones and family will grieve it's death for all eternity" is not true.animals feel pain, but so do parasites that swim around in your body. I am about 60% sure you would kill a parasite if...

  • @TheSockGuyBFMP learned about one hiding in your system. all it was trying to do was survive. for all purposes a parasite is an animal (just not a complex one).

  • @DrInfidel ok so if a veterinarian is walking in the woods and is killed by bear your gonna say oh its ok cause they probably euthanized 10,000 animals. Cause thats the same case. Vet kills animals, vet is killed.. an its totally cool....

  • @DrInfidel If the death of humans would further the greater good then would that not be a world without you? But seeing as you think the death of a hunter is not tragic YOU must be a peta member! You know what I LOVE doing to peta members? Sending them extra sausagy pizza!

  • Ok the video clearly says (on several occasions) that they were there to hunt deer, not bears.

  • CONT. PT2. again @johnnycorry1981 I respect your opinion. BUT when you or anyone else says "he deserved to die" or anything like that it is a very poor view of reality. Some people like to hunt, fish, snowshoe etc. all enjoying nature in one way or another, each has their own opinion. If you die in a car accident and I then say "he deserved to die" just because you were on the road with other dangerous drivers. That would be a very poor unlogical thought process avoiding all common sense.

  • @mcgritty25

No sympathy for the hunter though, if he goes out with the aim to kill a bear and he himself is killed by the animal his hunting, then tough luck.

  • @ johnnycorry1981 where I live the blackbear population has doubled since the 1980's. It may however be different where you live. I understand some of you think you are so badass that if you were being attacked by a bear that you would not try to defend yourself/kill it. I would kill a cat if it was attacking me and I don't dislike cats. Timothy Treadwell and his girlfriend were killed/eaten by a large old grizz, that guy IMHO got what he had comming to him (he refused to even carry bear spary)

  • @Hardrada88 Like he said the animal charged him, its life or death. I dont know what youd do but the last person who tried to tame wild bears got his ass shreded by these beasts. Its common sense shoot the bear or die. Even if he were to kill the bear hed be alive to tell the story... But since he failed to do so hes dead. I also agree not to kill bears because im also a big hunter but I know when to take a shot if irs needed, and I wouldnt care if i had killed the bear for the sake of my life.

  • idiots...

    good for the bear...

  • i kill and eat them..

  • Take on a bear with a knife and i'd call you a man. but to want to kill such a beautiful animal by setting traps and/or using guns of a large calibre thats just stupid. i'm not a hippy, but i do love bears and dont see the need to kill it when you aint going to eat it.

  • @Hardrada88 in thefirst place why is it? killing a wild animal gains power,I agreed with you,I will no even kill a deer,I like to go to any forrest and seat in my car looking for animals while they eat and jump around thats beauty,if I ever go to hunt I will make a pair and stay close I will never be along, unless I got Ak 47 to save my ass lol, keep a good laugh bye

  • Go bear!

  • I aint an eco-freak or planet defender, I eat meat and even hunt occasionally, but why the fuck do you dickheads feel the need to kill large wild threatened animals? Get a fucking life!

  • Got my first bear this year, Its amazing how such a large animal can just disappear right in front of you. I lost sight of mine twice as I was tracking him from less than 30 yards. You just dont know where they might pop out.

  • Comment removed

  • he missed lol, then the bear whooped his ass

  • The bear has to fucking defend himself.

  • guy goes hunting by himself in fucking alaska .....

  • @DBcoop04 You'r obviously mentally challenged

  • i have to say that people out there that are against hunting should have a look at the food they eat. Go to a chicken farm and have a look. It takes 6 weeks for a chicken to go from a small chick to 6 pounds. I always think that it is funny how guilt - free people are when their meat comes wrapped in plastic. I was the same, and when my husband would come home with game, i was not impressed. Over time i realize what a treat it is to feed truly organic meat to our two daughters.

  • did he just cock a rifle like a pup shotgun? FAIL

  • @macg6262

he was putting his hand back after he reloaded the bolt action rifle

  • Humans are tasty!

  • P.S I HATE HUNTERS!!!

  • @Mrgettygirl PMS.....I hate comics and drwing!

  • @drumminghunter Thanks for stalking over my profile, loser.

  • @Mrgettygirl You must be a hollow- headed wench that wants everyone else to do your dirty work for you...yeah! you eat the poison and garbage they tell you is food from mcd's and the local burger shack, but you would be lost if you had to get food for yourself....you will starve to death, not if, but when all your food "props" are shut down.

  • @Mrgettygirl

Dumb bitch, we aren't too fond of you're low life type either.

  • @RLewisH Don't get butt hurt over a comment, wuss. The guy knew what he was getting himself into and he got killed for it.

Most of these "sports" killers are not killing for food or threats. They are killing just because "they can" and to be "sporty" by destroying innocent life. I agree if its about food and survival its one thing but even those who claim they kill for food they also go to the market and buy chicken, meat, burger, milk, cheese, pork etc etc etc. Thanks

  • @Mrgettygirl i agree with your comments :D, PS: i hate hunters, they drive poor animals to extinction :P

  • What a hunter he is. Doesn't even know how to use his rifle and protect himself. what an embarrassment. He should receive the Darwin Award.

  • The hunter deserved it, if you shoot an animal you can't expect many people to be sorry for you if an animal kills you, tough luck.

  • @S1lent2011

It's an animal. Nobody deserves to die, animals don't either, but almost all hunters hunt for food. Most animals shot that aren't eaten, are killed because they are a threat to an area, such as a farm (groundhogs, coyotes) or they are overpopulated.

  • yay bear :D

  • Don't mess with grizzly bears, they're nothing like teddys.

  • no one fucks with a bear they are awsome!!

and + its sounds like BEER!! dosent get much better than that

  • you better have a big wheelgun if your going were bears are, they will take a arm to chew on and you better have something short enough to grab while he is on top of you, a 44 mag or 454 is a minimum.

  • the second shot was so unrealistic, did u see the recoil! he pulled up the rifle when he pulled the trigger, its supposed to be a little backwards, and a little up!

  • Man!!! My wife is more Dangerous than that BEAR!!!

  • This vid Sux!! I see no Bear killing anyone? BUMMER!!!!!!

  • Where is part 2 and xCoDRapageX< what do you mean don;t hunt for fun.......Do you eat beef, do they kill cows for fun, have you ever tasted deer sausage? probably not...Don;t judge others till you walked in their shoes. I take it you think he deserves to die.......what a warped mind you must have.

  • Not enough info.

  • Karma at its best

  • @KushPizzaSleep

what goes around comes around over and over and over again. KARMA can be a bitch.

  • nexte time stay at home.

  • Where is the rest of this story?????

  • @Imragnar1

the bear lifted a 220 lb man with just it's jaws....

  • This is why I stick to human hunting. They usually panic when they're shot at.

  • @Caliente1593 lol!

  • @Caliente1593 so you go gay bear hunting?

  • @Caliente1593 your a dumb mother fucker

  • @kcashkris100

I am pretty sure people do panic when surprise fire. I also used the correct "they're." How am I dumb?

  • Comment removed

  • wtf...why the bear not killed.

  • WTF is the rest of the story...

  • Good lesson. when you got wepon that fires 1 shot in 1 minute have a pistol with 12 bullets of magnum. I always take it with me when hunting. My friend was saved like taht. To hit running bear with 1 bullet in head is hard so just shoot until he dies .

    and then reload your pistol

  • @Bachist123 or fire beside the bear to scare him off. if that doesnt work THEN shoot the bear in the face.... right?

  • going into the wilderness is already a risk itself. if it's not bear attack, it can be a lot of other things, like rabies-infected bats, moose, mother deer, even ticks carrying infectious diseases. this is just part of the risk that every hunter has to take when undertaking a sport like this. it's just life, that's all.

  • @wantapie actually......... i walk threw bear terrirtory almost every day by myself and iv seen alot of bears but they mostly stick to themselves...they are kind of shy and wount come near u if u dont disterb them

  • @wantapie im pretty sure he is dead >_>

  • The National Association of Bear Attacks and Bear Related Assaults (NABABRA) suggests not being attacked by a bear.

If attacked the NABABRA strongly suggests avoiding further attacks.

The NABABRA recommend these safety tips.

    1. Never check a bear for cavities.

    2. Never twist a bears nipples.

    3. Never ask a bear for directions

    4. Never use meat sauce as sun tan lotion while in bear country

    5. Never allow a bear to babysit children

  • @mbm13213 ah, #4 and 5 were my fatal mistakes :) who knew?

  • So sad. :-(

  • is this what the movie "alaska" from 1996 is somewhat based off of?

  • sucks , but its the wild who knowns what could happen

  • Are they sure he's dead? I would be happy if they at least found his body and got to have a proper funeral.

  • People saying "oh animals in the wild do it for fun, so its ok for us to do it, toodle doo!" are retarded. Look up the word instinct and apply it to the animals in the wild. Most carnivores are taught from youth to kill for food to survive. This is programmed, if you may, into their brains and they then have the "killer instinct." Humans on the otherhand do not have this, not even a trace and to say some animals kill for "fun," is idiotic. This is merely a case of dipshit, hunter getting owned.

  • I kill Bears with my 'bare' hands! See what I did there :3?

  • Where is the rest of this story? I can't find it on Youtube or on the National Geographic site? Does anyone know?

    Thanks

  • You guys are sick fucks. Anything that kills a friend of mine deserves to die, along with others like him or her. If that means even a possibility of putting bears on the Endangered Species list, It will be worth it to prevent more accidental deaths.

  • @armchairmaster

so if a human murders your friend, do you go and kill all humans?

  • @armchairmaster Poor thing. Small d*ck syndrome still got ya feelin' down?

  • @piefrance how about a little respect!

  • @armchairmaster wtf are you talking about you moron thats the worst idea ever thought of by anyone what good would that do at all. every time there is a murder all humans should be killed then. thats what your getting at, twat.

  • billiger mucke-fuck... is this the american way of life ??? Bull-shit.

  • @Oettinger07 lol it is like Revenge of the Bears...the men deserved it...getting mauled by the bear...

  • YYYYYYYYEEEEEEYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! IM SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY that that pointless piece of shit doesn't exist on this Planet no more!!!!!!!! YUUUUUPPPIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yay finally the bear won in one of these videos im soo happy! :)

  • Did it occur to him that one or more of the three warning shots hit Ned? LOL

  • Sad thing is all theese animal lovers here probably eats the meat someone hunts...

  • @Puttane I eat meat that is farmed. When I catch a fish I eat that as well. No wastage. You guys going to go eat a bear after you've blasted it? Or just cut its head off and stick it on the wall?

  • This is hunter and hunted, a nat. geo. special.

  • pretty scary at 1:40

  • he shoulda gave him a picnic basket

  • @TheServantOFmyself you are quite incorrect. Animals kill for fun all the time. Cougars have been known to kill just to drink blood and lions have killed just for fun, ever watch ghost and the darkness? educate yourself before talking about this again please

  • @ThePirateJon

dude your really stupid, movies don't count. it's fiction , like in sciencefiction you know! i've read about the ghost and the darkness story , and it tells us there wasn't enough food for the lions, plus lions are extremely territorial animals. so excuse me stupid asshole, go somewhere else with your stupid fantasy's. and cougars probably drink blood because there is no water, duh. or did you see that in a movie as well? god, even a donkey is smarter then that.

  • lmao @ you mr. youtube. do you ever get off your computer?? go interact with some real animals and not your digi pets. i grew up out in the woods and don't need some dumb piece of junk small dick prick trying to regain some pride by bashing everyone that disagrees with him on youtube.

  • @ThePirateJon

plus blood contains good nutritions, damn and you call that killing for fun? i'm gonna deny any of your further comments because your simply to stupid. god people like you would do any second in the wild, because you learn everything from the movies. go fuck yourself son of a bitch

  • @TheServantOFmyself Dolphins will kill porpoises for absolutely no reason at all. They do not compete for food and porpoises are obviously not prey for dolphins. They kill for no reason at all.

Further, you want to give your country to the natives? Their culture was completely stagnant. People would die in their 30's, usually of their teeth, and live lives of hardship and suffering. Why do you think they were so easily bought by the Europeans? Their lives sucked, and booze and guns fixed that.

  • Actually, dolphins and killer whales kill for fun. Look it up, and don't make sensationalist claims without hard evidence to back it up. Idiot.

  • Yeah that .22 round is just gonna piss that bear off. Serves them right, killing shit just for fun, what sick bastards.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah

  • @b5201 Hunters cause more damage than ppl that buy meat at the store. Because everyone that I know that hunts only gets about 15% of their meat consumption from hunting. So, in fact, they are doubling their animal slaughtering. I just stick to free range chicken and fish. Red meat actually tastes like dead animal to me... bleck :-(

  • Why is this only 3 min long? wheres the rest of this story??? I didnt see it on the link provided...

  • yeah if you are stupid enough to go to kodiak and hunt, dont be surprised to get fucked over by a big ass grizzlzy. the trhillseeker got exactly what he was lookin 4

  • I can't possibly reply to all of your comments, this discussion has threaded off too much, so Ill try to summarize.

I believe hunters cause less harm then people who eat meat at a supermarket, however their main reason for hunting is for enjoyment and to me that is morally wrong.

If there is enough food in a forest to sustain large animals(such as deer) there is enough food to sustain me.

  • @b5201 Yes, true. Most hunters hunt for fun. To me though, hunting is reliving the history of your ancestors. It shows skill, patience, and alot more of skills. Anyway, who knows how much chemicals all the food in the store has that can harm you. All what my dad and grandpa did was eat beans and deer. No, there isn't enough for them to eat in some parts. I live in TN and the deer are trying to find food. But they get road killed or starve to death. Thats when the hunters come in.Tokeep in order.

  • You may be out in your garden right now, with your little apron on, frolicing around picking heads of lettuce. What every floats your boat, but you don't hear anybody crying over you using pesticides, killing innocent little bugs, that God created , now do you? To each his own pal!! If these videos bother you, it's simple. Do not watch them!!! Go sit in your garden and be thankful your not a bear..

  • @b5201 or 90210 w/e, get a life ! Ok so I guess the cavemen ran around shooting up savage beasts ? Oh wait, they didn't have ammo then did they ? I suppose they had idiots like you they used for bait, while ( spearing ) or setting traps I suppose to catch the animals. I come from a family of survivors douche. We can kill any animal without ammo! So imagine there were no " grocery stores " then where would you get your lettuce? I'd bet the ranch you can't grow it, but again I don't know you.

  • You didn't even have an argument, you just spouted meaningless insults.

I can forage local forests and days when I do wildlife photography I usually snack on the wild plants.

  • @b5201 not sure who your referring to here but I've been trying not to insult.

But your comment "I can forage" is a joke, picking a few berries in front of you is not foraging for food. Plus try doing that year round.

  • I think you simple minded people need to get off the couch and go hunting!! Try to find food, kill it, clean it , and eat it..Instead of going to the grocery store all the time and buying processed foods.Could you people survive without grocery stores? I'm sure some of you could, and the others that cry about hunting..well you'd be the ones begging for someone to teach you how to hunt!!

  • If society collapsed in a way that grocery stores were unavailable I highly doubt that there would be a steady supply of ammunition for you to hunt with. Your point is moot and is just another excuse to try and justify your pointless slaughter.

  • @b5201 You really watch to much TV, hunters don't go around shooting 100's of rounds into animals. 90 to 99% of the ammunition a hunter shoots is at targets to tweak there rifle and themselves to be better so as to make a more humane shot. If you worried about slaughter why don't you fight with the meat markets and fast food outlets, and their consumers as they kill/slaughter animals with close to 1 outta 2 animals killed just to end up in the waste bin at the end of day.

  • Didn't I already explain that I don't eat meat?

People who are going to the supermarket at least are only causing the deaths of animals for food, hunters mainly hunt because they enjoy it.

They are weak mean who kill for fun and to make themselves feel strong.

If you don't believe me find a hunter who doesn't enjoy hunting, they kill for fun. Not to be "humane".

  • @b5201 : "Didn't I already explain that I don't eat meat?"

Yes you said you don't eat meat just as I said I got nothing against those don't unless they think better than those that do and think they don't hurt animals because of it. Consumers (those that let others do their dirty work) cause waste of more than 50% of food. Hunters waste very little and what is wasted goes back to nature (via the animals that live there), which would have to make a kill anyway to get that same food.

  • i do fully respect the fact that you stay away from meat. i live in holland wich is densly populated ( wich is a weird thing by its self) but here we have to thin out some deer and wild boar because they get in the way of traffic an all. in short. its a problem caused by humans. not animals as such. i do eat so called " green meat " wich means its had a fruitfull life in the open. i kill animals for food like chikcens, and i am thankfull for their nourishment. read respect.

  • @freekmusbachful

  • @bradh29

There aren't enough animals in the wild for all of us, you dumbass.

  • Good to see the tables turned for once. People who kill for fun deserve to be killed, for fun if possible.

  • @b5201 To put food in your mouth (even a vegitarian), roof over your head and all the toys you have under that roof cause animals to die. You think all that just magically appears, forests are destroyed to bring all that to you and that inturn kills the animals that lived there and usually with alot more suffering that a hunter causes.

  • Yes of course, buildings just pop into existence and kill everything that was there. Animals leave areas where there is little food, and a hell of a lot of animals are still here, on average I have 20 deer pass through my backyard per day. (I keep track because knowing when they're here makes my photography more efficient)

  • @b5201 :

I didn't say that so please stop twisting my words for your benefit. It's more than just buildings but as usual people think small. There's roads, mines, dumps, farmland (pretty sure a lot of the amazon is being burnt to make room for soy farms as well as cattle farms), etc, etc. There is not a lot of animals left in a clear cut, and certainly not the ones that were there before. As for your 20 deer, I have no idea about your yard so whats that prove, if in town then it's bad for them.

  • how in the world do they get these shots of people getting hurt by animals?

  • @LilSparda345 sometime its an reanactment
