I have Retro Atari Classics for NDS, which includes a version of Pong that uses both screens. Also, this version is vertical instead of horizontal.

I know why: the Guitar Hero series was hurting the sales of games on the Nintendo DS. So, to counteract that, they rid the backward GBA compatibility, which wouldn't allow one to play Guitar Hero for the Nintendo DS.

FYI the DS Arkanoid and Space Invaders Extreme have a paddle controller that is inserted in the Advance slot but sadley the DS paddle controller is import only and DSi only users are SOL

My childhood exposure to pong was a "paddle war" minigame in ID software's IBM PC compatible : Commander Keen (episode 4)

donatsu8, the object of Yars' Revenge is to destroy the Qotile, the thing with the red shield around it on the right side of the screen. You play the Yar, which is the little bug thing on the left. Go check out Classic Game Room HD's review of the game for Atari 2600 for more. It's an AWESOME game.
