as for the infrastrucutre, it's also back there.. when you go, you'll see the newest, most luxurious ferraris, cell phones and clubs instead of the expected wartorn buildings..

Go easy on kidzara. I think Arabs were the natives who lived in the land included in Arab like Saudia, UAE, Gulf etc (also some countries of Africa). Before the division wasnt like this it was based on the level of the development of the area and Arab area was the most civilized n developed. I am originally an Arab (Saudi Arab). Ironically current possesor of the land are not even Arabs. They are Khwarijs who invaded the place.

@Army1044 I've studied Civilizations for a long time now. I have a degree. I am Lebanese as well. Phoenicians did MIX like all people do. But the Phoenicians ORIGINATED from todays Lebanon and the surrounding area. Like I said, they TRADED with the France, Greece, Egypt, & other countries, but in no way did they originate from those countries. Each of those countries identify Phoenicia as separate. Not sure what History books you read but I doubt they said they originated from those places.
