Pretend the death penalty trial never occured... That night he shot someone and pistol whipped another man. Gosh, if I shoot someone in the face and pistol whip someone, will these trolls give me this lovefest of support and happiness. He is a CREEP, a THUG, he badly hurt innocent people... now through some twisted logic he has these groupies that hare just LOVING HIM UP with all this affection. He is a THUG... regardless of if he did or did not kill a cop. GLAD HE WILL DIE :)

@stevenabb So what? Death Penalty is inhumane, mean and cruel. It is the only thing in common between the oldest modern democracy in the world and Eastern Dictactorships. Guilt is pointless in this debate. So if you have nothing to say better than barking please go to read a book. If its too much to you to cope, Internet is plenty of resources to start and learn.

Troy Davis was given full opportunity last year to present his case for innocence on appeal. He failed to be persuasive. Earlier that night in 1989, Davis was thrown out of a nightclub after a fight. When the four men whom he had been in dispute exited the club later that evening. Davis shot one through the rear car window and wounded him in the jaw. The ballistics from that bullet matched those found in Officer Macphail's body.

@nicspic2011 And your point being... I am against death penalty anyway. No matter if the guy is guilty or not. And even so, what you relate seems more to a 2nd degree homicide than a killing, which would put Davis facing Life, not execution.
