I've never really experimented with mind altering drugs and I understand the plot of this movie. Good music IS a mind altering drug. Pink Floyd was my drug for many long teenage nights and I will never regret that.
Damn this is deep, i remember when i was a teenager, watch this on mushrooms and couldnt stop crying! lol Older and wiser now so kids dont take drugs! lol
@nastybelladonna yea self realization ego death and removal from subjective experience into the objective isnt for everyone but, just because you cant understand it doesnt make you any wiser than me
@SoundsLikePurple Never said I was wiser than you! I was taking about my own resentment of losing someone, and my path of drugs etc! So just because you dont understand in what I wrote Not my problem, nor do i care!
Then explodes in the final line "And that's how the High Command took my Daddy from me".
The way Roger waters says "drawer" reminds me of Mike Myers " simon" character. Unreal song though their best by a LANDSLIDE! Well you know my name is Simon....lol
Sieg heil Bob Geldof, Sieg heil! ;) But yeah he was rather cool, my English 112 class actually watched and wrote a literary analysis of The Wall and I think just about everybody loved it
Have to love Pink FLoyd since day one. Everything they made was either a mind altering experiece, or on that makes you reflect apon youre own inner fears. As many do every day. There combo of Gimour and Waters is no where nearly amatched.
Your experiences ,and The Wall is an experience, molded you into who you are right now, and you will continue to change. How you refect and analyze these experiences is part of bettering yourself.
This is my christmas song.

Wow. Powerful opening scene. Not to say the actor's vocals are shitty, but I liked Waters a lot better. Lol.

Water's voice displays angst.
This man's voice conveys real anger!

Actually, after listening to this two or three more times and comparing it to the original, I'm beginning to like it more. Agreed.

Eric Waters, Roger Waters father died at Anzio, Italy, fighting the NAZI forces. Thats what these songs are about.

The wall is meant for questions and opinions
there is no ACCURATE meaning to any of this. This movie and album is meant to be taken unto your life and become a better person.
BritaniaRuleAgain 4 years ago
not necessarily about making you a better person.. but to become a more aware individual
