  • This is heartfelt and beautifully done. Thanks for posting :)

  • Larry, I have watched, learned, repeated songs umpteen times, and more than appreciated your youtube..should've called it yourtube, and Loved every bit. Your chords and voicings are honest gold and all those that be close to you are so lucky to have you on Tap... Great Mate, that's from the heart of a Kiwi. But I seem to have an abundance of hair, you're welcome to it anytime LOL. Cheers Mate , Bless ya Heart.

  • Larry, thank you for expressing yourself again through the music and the words you typed. Peace to you and yours ... all the best in 2012!

  • One of the most beautiful songs for me and a truly fantastic rendition. It would be great to see you play that on the guitar. Thanks so much!

  • Larry: Great dedication to your brothers. Very moving, however; you have always played from the heart and that's what makes you special. Take care bud and keep making a difference............Thibodeau

  • Very beautiful and heartfelt performance, what a great way to remember and honor them (with one of your brilliant videos.) I'm so sorry about your sorrow that is weighing on your mind and heart even today. I feel the same way about 3 of my grandparents who I lost at about the same time (slightly earlier) then your eldest brother. I have always loved this song. Bless you.

  • Nice cover. Really heartfelt tribute to your family. I spent 13 years in a group that saw this song as almost a personal anthem. To that group brother was more than a blood tie. There are still some I would give that title to, however it is no longer my title. As for my real family, this holiday season was my first without my brother who I lost suddenly in October. It has been a while since I had my parents so that wound has begun to heal, although these things never really get easier do they?

  • This was my first Christmas without my Dad. Things will never be the same. "The empty chair" is hard to take. Maybe he is better off, but I'm not. I still burst out crying alone in my car sometimes and it's almost been a year now. Also, my number 2 best friend will have been gone two years this April. He brought a spirit of fun-loving joy to everyone who knew him. I don't never forget my loved ones, no matter how long they're gone. Hope somehow I do see them again. Thanks Larry. You care.

  • My dream is to meet you one day and to jam with you Larry! If you ever come to Birmingham, Alabama you have a place to stay! God Bless you, as you are my idol as a musician 205-915-3234

  • I am sorry for your loss Larry, this is a awesome tribute to them! You are such a accomplished musician! Love all your stuff! Keep it coming!!!

  • Nice job on the piano. Sorry for your losses. Nothing wakes you up to the end of a life like being a pole bearer. Been there. Done that. Too many times. But I'll keep doing it as long as I live.

  • Nice cover and tribute to your brothers Larry.

  • Beautiful Larry. Sometimes I just can't get through an emotional song without losing it, I don't know how you can sing it so nicely with that on your heart. Maybe they help you through it, I don't know but thanks for sharing. Bless your heart (as folks say "down south) and thanks for keepin on keepin on. All the best to you and everyone in 2012.

  • Gone from our view, but never gone from our hearts. I know our loved ones who have passed look down on us daily and are ever present with us. This thought helps me go on...

Thanks for posting this very personal & touching tribute.

  • So on we go.... You made me think of my late brother with your song. Especially because when he needed an organ transplant I gave him mine and people thought it was a big deal. But I was always the healthy and strong one....he ain't heavy, he's my brother. He was always the frail and sickly one. I miss him, but I'm privileged to have helped him live 20 extra years. His welfare was my concern. You told my story too, with your music. I liked it a lot.

  • Awesome job!

  • I was touched by what you said and thanks for sharring that. You sure do have a way of making a song your own. I am use to this one being more of a rocker but I like the way you made it more soulful.

  • Very, very moving.

  • Great version of this song. My sister passed away 2 years ago because of pancreatic cancer. It makes no sense. She was a quasi-vegetarian, never smoked or drank, ran 4 miles a day, etc. I, on the other hand, have enough vices where I should be dead by now.

  • i think of my sisters when i hear this.

  • <3

  • I don't have any brothers or sisters, and my parents are both alive, so I can't even begin to picture what you have been through, but I am absolutely positive about two things: 1) you all shared true love, and, 2) they must have been really proud of you.

Thanks for sharing with all of us.

  • I'm so sorry for your loss of both of your brothers. I've never experienced a loss of a sibling. So i can not really rationalize the feeling. I know they are proud of you and they love you so much. You did great with this song. thanks so much for sharing your voice and feelings!

  • Like.

  • Larry..This is a VERY powerful dedication for your Brothers ..The love you have for your family is one of the strongest things i have ever known..As i sit here in tears, i know that they are smiling and praying with you, and most importantly, the love you all share has no ending..I would give anything for you to have them here with you now. This song is emotionally beautiful...You arent just singing with a voice , you're singing with your heart...My sweet friend, GOD bless and love..ione marie

  • My hear breaks for you as I read the description in this video, Larry. That sure is one hell of a way to start the year I was born.

  • God bless you bro.

  • You certainly leaned into this one Larry...sentiment will do that.

  • Heartfelt singing and written sentiments. Makes you want to hold those you care about as close as possible and love them forever... Nadine

  • Thanks for sharing on your past. I will only say I know you must of had some very hard days...Music is life.... thanks for singing and playing for us...

  • Horrible to grieve ... Beautiful song as is your soul. Peace
