  • just found this song i was 9 n remember this a lil, blill tune

  • This song sounds like two disparate pieces written separately and patched together. I love the first one but the second part sounds like standard "1910 Fruitgum Co." simplistic bubblegum...too bad!

  • @burlingtonbill1 You're absolutely right! The verses have a minor key edginess to them and the choruses are all happy n fluffy n sweet. I guess Julie really had a powerful grip on these guys

  • I was 13 when this came out I love the line "I'm inside out with love" cracker absolute cracker. After 33 years with my Italian Stallion I'm glad to say I am STILL very much "inside out with love" LOVE YOU AL MWAH ! XXX

  • @Hbomb6440 Very sweet. You are blessed!

  • Love the radio blurb at the beginning! I was raised on CKLW & WOHO radio

  • i was 15 when this came out i sang along until my throat was sore

  • I love the bass guitar part.

  • i dont care but must respect you musical people but i still I love the TRACY SONG

  • Bubblegum music gave me a happy feeling not like the blow your brains out or commit suicide music these morons make money from now.

  • I close my eyes and i'm 13 again.....with a crush on Julie.... Tempus Fugit! X

  • Bought this when it first came out in the UK. Follow up to "Tracy". Still got both on 7" vinyl. Great memories. Me and a couple of mates use to drive my Mum mad by trying to harmonise to the song. Great memories. Thanks.

  • could not get to the store fast enough to buy this in a 45 rpm for .99 cents !!

  • OMG!! I haven't heard this in years!! Thanks for the post! My gf then loved the Cuff Links/Ron Dante

  • Good one

  • love this song very underestimated group from 70s made lots of good songs.

  • Although I have heard "Tracy" very occassionally on oldies shows/radio since 1969, I havne't heard this one since about 1970 or 1971!

  • mp3iffy works again wooohoooo awesome - google mp3iffy

  • Just don't quite remember it like this. I really believed it was ny Edison Lighthouse - must be getting old!

  • @jannalli OHHH BABE STICKY IS GOOD LOL X

  • OHHHHHH THE BEST LOV EYA JUKIE XXXX

  • Great Song

My mates at school clubbed together to buy this single and gave it to a girl I fancied saying it was from me

    Unfortunately Julie didnt like it

    Happy memories though

  • great oldie cheers my cousin's name 10days older than me and mine is tracey lol .....our parents must have named us after them (not)...thanx for the mems :D

  • Ron Dante was also the voice of The Archies (Sugar Sugar). Yes, it was just him doing lead and background vocals.

  • It seems like I remember the Cufflinks was just one guy recording himself over and over ( remix?? did they call it that back then? ) I don't know about the musicians, but the singer was one guy

  • lets rember that Ron Dante was in a band called the cufflinks singing tracy. They are all good singers And cufflinks still do gigs in the uk as a band :-)

  • right up there with bobby sherman, the soulful dynamics and edison lighthouse...good stuff. needs more cowbell and mellotron, tho'.

  • I LOVE CKLW, (..from Canada) I used to live in Queens, New York, & later in the night this fabulous radio station would come on my little AM radio, I would listen to it all night, until I fell asleep, (and had to get up for school). Ron Dante is a musical genius, this was the followup to the top 10 hit, "Tracey", & then he hit #1 with The Archies & "Sugar Sugar". They don't make pop music like this anymore, the Jonas Brothers stink, & they should take note from R. Dante & make pop like this!

  • CKLW was THE station if you were at all cool....Thank you so much for the great memories !!!!

  • Just heard this for the first time. Has anyone noticed the similarity between the chorus of this track (from 50 seconds on) and the later Bay City Rollers track Remember

  • nothing wrong with this one , great song thanks for posting

  • Great song!!!

  • iians dad brian is in this band and still does singing now :-)

  • now this is jr high popcorn music.

  • I remember Tracy, well I guess everybody does! On looking The Cufflinks up in the hit book (an invaluable source of information - my copy is held together with string!) I discovered there was a follow up - this track. I could not find it anywhere and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to have heard this - thanks.

  • top bass player in this band

  • Great sound from a great decade - Thanks for posting!

  • This sounds like, (the lead singer), of the archies, sugar sugar, is it?. Thanks for posting.

  • Yes the same singer Ron Dante, rememmber this song well

  • Prior to the Archies, Ron was also one of the voices in the Detergents ("Leader of the Laundromat") and also sang with another studio act, the Pearly Gate ("Free").

  • excellent takes me back to my heyday thanku for posting

  • Hey, thank you.

  • my dad used to sing this to me

  • I loved bubblegum back then. And I still love bubblegum now. Can't beat the 60s and 70s. I love it all. Bubblegum, Glam, Disco and the ballads. Take me back.

  • Great song by this "group". So what's wrong with bubblegum, anyway?
