This look is so chic, but yes it's more for cocktails and evenings not for the mall. But there is nothing amateurish about it. Amateurish is applying TOO much eyeshadow until your natural shadows and eye expression is erased. Or accentuating the eyes and lips at the same time. This is a fashion look and to see that you probably need to go somewhere slightly different than the mall.
