I would class it as Trance (maybe Ni-NRG or similar due to the high tempo. Trance music generally is more melodic and has more "progressive " elements than Techno music per se consisting of between 100 abd 135 bpms (beats per minute). Techno music tends to start at around 135 bpms, but ranges between 120 and 150 bpms. Rave music, on the other hand, is usually the slower of the 3 forms being more closely aligned to its Detroit "House" roots from which the other 2 further evolved. Peace Out XD

This is abit techno/trance, trance dont usaually get up to 180 bpm, but it sounds mostly like techno

You're right about the (very) high bpm mark Benchye, definitely a Techno v. 2 trait (i'd class ealy Techo, i.e.: up to 150 bpm-pre European as version 1.0). Still, something about the melody predominating over the percussive elements is more suggestive of Trance, in this case: Hard Trance, which by defintion is a lot more percussive than regular Trance and also generally much faster, so as to intensify its overall sound....

I'm not sure which techno you're referring to,but when going over some Belgian Techno tracks on the classic "Reactivate" label,there are similarities. Nevertheless, since speed has increased overall for all of the Techno/Trance genres this Millenium as well as general intensity occasionally also "upping the Ante", so to speak, I'd still class this track as being a Techno-Orchestral Hard Trance number.

I believe this track would be hugely enjoyable to both Techno and Trance afficianados... :o)
