diastema and rotations seem the hardest to retain without a fixed appliance. this video is helpful and enjoyable, both in a historic and in semi-contemporary practical way.
I hate the way dentist's never accredit the Dental Technician for their expertise in appliance construction, dentist's always say "...and here's the appliance!" like they just made it earlier or like it's factory made when in actual fact, a Dental technician has put in his hard work, time and effort to hand-make that appliance from scratch.
@05M4N ...Yeah! i suggest we stop producing dentists and let the technicians do the whole work. I also suggest we get back in time in 18th century when the barbers used to do teeth extractions. ! Sorry Dear technicians,i respect you a lot as partners, but dont forget...we give the order, you execute the order, we r responsible for everything and yes...we can construct the appliances our own but time is money my friend! If you dont like being a technician then study dentistry
@nodov Dentists can construct dental appliances??!? PUAHAHAHA! Don't make me laugh PLEASE!! Are you serious? they can't even construct a decent Registration rim or Special tray, they don't have a clue about any appliance they're inserting into their patient's mouths...and for the record, i love being a technician it's way more relaxed than being a dentist lol and it also does not include ROBBING PEOPLE. You dentists buy a bridge from a lab for £1000 and sell it to the patient for £8000. THIEVES.
@05M4N As a dutch technician i agree ,but dentists mostly get pay by insurances even if an retainer brakes down and than sending it to us for repair whit a note which says ; service or garantie , how bout that....
@05M4N your lack of professionalism doesn't do you or your field any good. Dentists must charge a premium to make a living, pay their overhead and pay off the $30 000 (CDN) or $80 000 (USD) per year investment in their education. Likewise, you charge dentists a premium for your services far above cost value of the crude material, and you should. Because that's how you make a living. There is just no room in this profession for any party in either field showing lack of respect for the other.
@0608frankie True, but there's a difference between making a living and making a KILLING. One Dentist i know, examines the patient's attire and looks at what car they drove in with, then decides how much to charge them...and trust me, if you've drove in with a BMW or Mercedes, you better get ready to be overcharged at least double...if you're lucky.
Did you notice how close he trimmed the URA to the patients face,, no safety glasses!!! and what if her hair had got caught around the rotating bur!!! The fixation of the appliance was interesting,, no Adams Clasps,,
woman looks bored...

It's something how no gloves were used. I wonder what we're doing today that students will say, 'wow they didn't do that!'
