i have a wireless remote but i dot have the reciever,, what i do have is a cable that connects my xbox remote to the computer by the USB port.. could this work?
@TheLaughinAssassin Yes, they have a wireless receiver for the xbox controller for use on the PC, also works on the Xoom. Just google "xbox wireless gaming receiver" and you will find it!!!
Can someone please tell me if this works with anything besides Android 3.0 our 3.1. I have evo 3d with 2.3.4 and I don't play PC games so I don't wanna waste money if it doesn't work.
I use that on my PC, and yes, those two bottom triggers are bitches! They will only work on games that natively support them. Very annoying! Thanks a lot for the review!
can someone help please? i connected my wired 360 controller to my eee pad transformer and everything works except the triggers. is there a way to fix this? and does the ps3 controller and logitech gamepads do the same?
Ide also like to know this as well as I can get a PS3 controller to work on my Xoom but will this let me connect 2 360 controller? If so ill go and get one.
I just made a similar video demoing the PS3 controller on the Android Gingerbread OS (2.3+) Would you mind if I posted a link your video in the description?
@thematthewbe don't think I tried for awhile and gave up unless in sixaccess you can make it appear like a Bluetooth gamepad cause I can't find keybmapping in Riptide
nice!, i heard somewhere it didn't work.. but you proved that wrong.. Just so you know, i use my wired Xbox controller and everything is mappable except the L3,R3 (thumbstick buttons) i use USB/BT Joycenter really easy to use, tried with n64oid, snesoid, gensoid and works flawlessly. would like sixaxis just because there is no dongles needed but my transformer needs a custom ROM to sync so cbf right now. Xbox controllers are better anyway :)
mate, I have a samsung galaxy tab 10.1. I used a usb adapter to connect the wireless receiver and then communicate with the wireless controller. the receiver did lighted on when plugged in, however I found at the notification area of my tab saying
“unrecognised device connected”. I then connected the controller, it did blink as shown in your video, but I tried to use it to control the pad, it just wouldn’t respond. is there anything I need to do before conneting the controller?
alright so I have a samsung Galaxy Prevail, I am currently trying to connect my wiimote to my phone via bluetooth but for some reason I have having some issues. It asks for a PIN or Passcode please help thank you.
@sora908 I am not familiar with the Prevail, however there is no automatic driver to connect a Wiimote to Android. You need to use an application to connect. I have a video for this. Please go to my blog, there is also a gaming link from my channel. Under gaming section in my blog is a guide for connecting Wiimote to android devices. As well as how to map keys in emulators. If you have any other questions regarding this please leave comments in the wiimote section :) Thank you!
@mDwiktor 2.2 Froyo by itself does not have OTG support. This is a strict Honeycomb 3.1 feature. However I am not familiar with Xperia x10, maybe Sony put the feature in themselves (i highly doubt it but I dont' know for sure)
@mDwiktor Well devices are typically meant to be controlled by your PC. Thats why you plug hard drives US B and just about any other periphial including yoru phone into your pc. You PC controls them. However with OTG your phone can be the controller and use the other periphials with the right drivers. But your Phone has to have the hardware and software to have that setup. So I would look into that and see if its available. Its highly unlikely, but its always worth checking
@mDwiktor I connected xbox reciever to my X10 ( I used Female Female USB adapter and original USB cable from SE ) and it dont work at android 2.3.3 ;( diode wont blink even a once ;(
Hey, last time i saw you using the psx emulator there was a lot of screen taring and it looked so bad that i didn't want to go through the work of setting it up. BUT this time you have it running really well. What did you change to get it running better?
Also I'm still having trouble getting the wired 360 controller working with my tablet (which i heard i should be able to do)
PS i have a Asus Eee Pad Transformer (love the thing) if it helps
@j0Eg0NZ0 My Xoom is over clocked to 1.5GHz this showed a dramatic improvement in all emulators. I didn't change anything else but that. I think you can overclock your asus to 1.3 now. Should do it if its the thing for you.
As far as the wired not working. Have you tried any other peripheral? I also have a couple silly questions, but do you have honeycomb 3.1 and is the Xbox controller a USB one or just a wireless and connecting via usb?
@sleeplessninjas thanks for actually replying, so many youtubers don't. So my Asus is running the 3.1 update.
Ive successfully used the wiimote+classic thanks to your videos. As you may know the only USB port is through the keyboard dock. I have both xbox wired and wireless+cable but I've only tried the wired. When i connected it to the keyboard dock All it did was blink. Tried mapping keys to no avail.
@j0Eg0NZ0 Not a problem always willing to help. The ASUS has actual full size USB port right? no micro?
The Wiimote does work even before 3.1, however the xbox controller requires a special OTG driver, which i'm not sure is supported without the OTG adaptor, full size USB should have host as well, so let me look into this a little.
@j0Eg0NZ0 So after some looking it seems that its a bug with all Eee Pads. Xbox Controller does not seem to work on any, but the ps3 and pc gamepads do. I am posting a thread that should keep you updated when a solution is found. You can find it in the description.
Pretty cool, I have ordered one of the wireless usb device so I can game on my pc, but I didn't realise you can use this with Android, sweet idea though. I'm not sure if the PS3 has the same wired device or not but is it possiable to use PS3 as well if theres a wireless device connector. Also very nice quick instructions, pretty simple to set up. If the game doesn't allow you to map your keys, does this mean that the controller won't work. Thanks
Dude, there's a third party six axis controller set out like the xbox 360's. Just get that one for all android devices.
