I have a red 02 and I still wonder at how good it looks given it is 9 years old. Its a cracker of a bike, totally balances performance with comfort, looks and great v4 sound.
My VFR was an 2005. it ran ok for one year, after that, several problems. there was a recall that had to do with the wireing harness under the dashboard. mine died before the recall. (shut down the fuel injection in mid corner). after that was tracked down and fixed, wire connectors started to melt. then the stator failed and the bike ran off the battery (150 miles from home). after that was replaced it failed again 6 months later. i fixed it again, and sold it as quick as i could.
@alientestsubject what electrical issues are you talking about? My only issue is that when it's approaching freezing it idles way too high and nothing I can do to fix it (cold riding is my favourite time to ride). Otherwise, I LOVE this bike; and I've owned plenty of other bikes.
@alientestsubject I didn't! 2003 bike bought in 2010 and sold in 2011. I put 8000 miles on it and left it outside every day even through one of the worst winter England's had. Mint bike. Miss it.
i had a 1990 vfr 750 for 15 years, i put 77 thousand miles on it. BEST bike i ever owned. but it got old and worn. i bought a 2005 interceptor. it ran great for one year and 10 thousand miles. then the problems. the FI shut off dead, in a corner at speed. the dealer fixed that problem. but many more were to pop up in the next three years. i had had enough, i sold it. I KNOW THE BIKES ARE ONE OF THE BEST YOU CAN BUY. I just got a lemon!
whats the music? sounds like dadi marcel or chet atkins.....?? BTW, awesome bike.... im looking for one now. Probably the last of this run. I like the new 1200 but ouch, £12k

@evanonspooner123 Amen. I just LOVE my 2004. In silver which is, of course, the fastest, lightest and best handling colour available.
