It's impossible for those under about 35 years of age to realise what an absolutely huge occasion the Cup Final was in the '70s. Its impossible to believe now that at the time it truly rivalled the European Cup in the eyes of fans. No under 35 will believe that but people in their 40s and older will easily believe it.

The 70's were the golden age of the FA cup when modern technology meant that it was live on the telly but we weren't so overrun with live football that it took secong place to the champions league. @smithmx08 Thanks but we'll be playing Man Utd in the FA Cup and I am sure we play well in premiership quality but if we lose and lose only one or two goal then I am sure Saints can do well rest of the season and get promoted into championship and probably get into Premiership within a year or two.

I was on Stokes' side of the pitch and level with the goal. When he got the ball I said to my Dad "He's offside isn't he?" at which point Dad leapt about fiteen foot in the air and I realised I'd missed the goal. So Stokes wasn't offside - because it wasn't given..... them's the rules!
