@noobpowner901 Plant was having real vocal problems at this point. Listen to anything prior to 1973 and usually he sounds good, even if he problems hitting the notes. His technique was really hard on his voice and all the drugs, drinking, and smoking didn't help. Plant tried to sing high when he just wasn't able to do it, and thats probably why he lost so much range after 1973/4. The rest of the guys were probably just so hammered they didn't know where they were.

Plant's voice was pretty much forever changed after he tried to tour in '72 singing "Over The Hills And Far Away" in it's original high register. That song pretty much destroyed his higher vocal range. But I'm a fan and I love these guys warts and all. BTW I didn't know the 5/25/75 video extended all the way to the encore, I 'd just like to thank the OP for my favorite live rendition of this tune.

The same year as this Earl's Court performance, the #1-selling song in the US was by The Captain and Tennille.
