That is because UK truth, there is nothing to overcome. It is a perfectly natural state of being. Homosexuality exists in the animal kingdom too. They are in their most natural state. Google it. Tubero any sexual act forced on a child is a CRIME and no one "turns" gay. That is another extremely STUPID human assumption. THINK for yourself.Get to know people and you will soon be strong enough to dismiss so called "religious" beliefs. You will also too save a TON of money
Hi, I just want to tell you that you are very brave and that you seem a very loving person. I don't know how hard this is but I can imagine. I am mormon and wish you the best and I will pray for you that you may find peace and happiness in all these and that Heavenly Father may help and guide you through out this journey. Remember you are not alone and Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of us and wants the best for us even though sometimes it doesn't seem like it. Best regards and wishes.
Homosexual activists understand the power of words.
Please visit my channel to watch a one-minute video clip in which popular atheist author Richard Dawkins admits that homosexual activists "hijacked the word 'gay'".
The word "homosexual" is more appropriate and accurate because it, unlike the word "gay", actually describes the behavior/attraction/relationship being discussed.
The word "gay" helps homosexual activists push their agenda.
The church does NOT want you. They only want to change you.
Brainwashed. For your own good I hope they do excommunicate you... then you'll see what fucked up bigoted weirdo's they are.
Nothing against Mormonism in particular... I have a problem with any retarded religion that views gays in the way that Mormons (Christians/Muslims, etc) do.
You all have been brainwashed by a so called "religious culture" that has steadily LIED to you. Remember the facts: "RELIGION AND GOD HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON". THINK for yourself if you have an iota of brain power. Don't rely on someone else's LIES to dominate your mind and control your opinions. If you cannot support and love our GLBT children, HOP OFF THE PLANET and find a place where we do not exist
@singlos1 Sorry but I beg to disagree with that 'brainwashed by religious culture'. I won't argue but just to let you know that this is incorrect. How would you call Alexander the Great's situation then? He went for boys too. They were pagans and their advanced society 'tolerated' it, to what degree I don't know, but did the whole Greece turn gay? To each man his own, isn't it? Other pagan cultures however referred to it as 'the Greek Affliction". Religious brainwashing is false.
@TheUktruth Not everybody makes the decision to be attracted to the same Sex. I know somebody close to me that has Same Sex Attraction. This person did not chose to start looking at the same sex. They did everything they could to stop it including therapy. It happened as a young person. Just like you probably started having feelings with opposite sex my friend had feelings for the same sex without being able to control it. After a long struggle in the LDS church this person never overcame.
@TheUktruth It would be like telling you that it is a sin to date the opposite sex and that you had to stop. Being attracted to the same sex is brain wiring. Not every brain is perfect when created. Some brains are smart some are dumb. Some can't even tie their shoes. Your telling me that the 1 out of 20 people are damned to hell because god gave them that brain? About 1 out of 20 people have Same sex attraction. Yes the statistics are about that high.
@TheUktruth what a load of crap...are you actually serious? So when you were born, and grew in to a sexually active person, did you choose who you were naturally attracted too? I am sorry to say but if you actually believe this drivel then you have some mental issues that should be addressed. It is also people like you that can be a direct contributor to youth taking their own lives over this issue, and you should be ashamed. It is not to late for YOU to change, take your own advice.
@TheUktruth I'm sorry for you. But you weren't made that way, your lifestyle is an abomination in the eyes of society.
The good news is that you can change! I'll expose you to reality for as long as it takes to help you change your bigoted and backwards opinions before it's too late.
My boyfriend was an LDS missionary. Even after three years together and his families love and acceptance, he still struggles with what he was taught growing up (and subsequently taught others) and what he feels inside.
... I think it'd be best to talk to your bishop for guidance and talk to God. Also do what some others have suggested down below: read the family: A Proclamation to the World. I'm also very sorry for you if you face ridicule from people for being the way you are, that is wrong, and Gordon B Hinckly taught to "Love them[homosexuals] as children of God". If someone does not treat you kindly, then they have sinned. Well, I wish you luck, and stay strong in your faith!
... I'd suggest trying to distance yourself from the opposite gender and becoming friends with the same gender, which is what I did and worked, because you usually gain sexual attraction to the gender you know little about of how they are. If you can learn how heterosexual men are by being (only) friends with them, you could change if you want to. But again, maybe not because there are other factors in sexuality...
I don't know you're background, but from doing research, I've learned that many homosexuals were friends with the opposite gender at a young age so because of that they gain a sexual attraction to the gender they're not friends with: the same gender. I know that this is a role in determining sexuality because I see it in myself, so what the people said on the articles I've seen is true...
... so since homosexuals can't do sexual action for creation, the only other option is for pleasure, which is why it's wrong no matter what for homosexuals to act upon those feelings, but not heterosexuals since they can create and not necessarily be doing it for pleasure, but if they are, that is sin still, because it is abusing the powers of pro-creation that God granted us if we use it for pleasure.
I would encourage you to not act upon any attraction you have to guys, for it is sin to act, but attraction is not. Really, I've sort of cone to believe to do any sexual action for the feel of it or the feeling you get out of it, is wrong. And the powers of creation are not meant for sexual pleasure, whether you're heterosexual or homosexual...
Usually when you come to the age of puberty, you gain a sexual attraction to the gender you have yet to have an emotional attraction to, or in other words are friends with. When I was young I didn't feel accepted by anyone, so I wasn't emotionally attracted to anyone, thus became sexually attracted to both genders, for a short time. But I did become emotionally attracted to(became friends with) guys eventually, and the sexual attraction went away, and haven't had it since to guys, only to girls
I'm sorry you have same-gender attraction, but to let you know it IS possible to change. I am a Mormon who has. Only I caught it at an early age when it was easier to change. I was a bisexual though, between the ages 12-14. However, I prayed honestly for help to rid myself of any of the homosexual feelings, and I also got an emotional attraction to guys. Which is different than a sexual attraction. I'll explain further in my next comment.
@jdcinsf it's the actuall name for the Mormon church which the church is not called Mormon it's called The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints
People that care will want the best for you. they won't ask you to be someone that you are not. Truth is that pain has been a big oaet of my life. I have had a partner over ten years. I am happy, but I miss some things. We should not stop loving those around us. Some people are getting upset more because we are not going back into the closet like they think we should. Some people are more arrogant than others. I have had such a hard time lately. It is good to hear someone else
I'm a gay Mormon..and didn't know that tell I feel in love with a women. It's just very hard. I didn't choice to fall in love with the same gender..the feeling just grew. It's just very hard..and I pray for the lord everyday to help me get through this.
And it is NOT just the LDS that aren't supposed to be supportive of gays.. As a ''People'' we are to love everyone WE KNOW THAT.. BUT in the BIBLE it says to be gay is not the way God intended us to be.. the LDS have prophets to keep them on the path that God intended for them(all of us) to live
Hi, I'm an active heterosexual mormon. To you, and all the other gay christians, I can't imagine how hard this has been for you, and I wish you the best on your continued spiritual journey. Unfortunately, not everyone will be kind or understanding, but I hope that for the most part, people don't change the way they treat you or ostracize you for being brave enough to be open about your inclinations, God loves you, and you are one of his sons, the gospel is true.
Now, ten years later, I am truly blessed. I believe that our queer sexual orientation is a gift from our Heavenly Father and is also a blessing. As gay men we are called according to his purpose which includes sharing our sexual intimacy in a loving, positive, and afirming. The blessing of a husband will come. Jimmy and I have been together for 15+ years and it continues to be great. I wish the same blessing for you.
Hi Yudanashi, Thank you so much for your video blog. I saw it 2/17/11. I pray that in the year or so that has passed you have been truly blessed. Your experience as a gay Morman isn't unique. I am, or at least was, a gay Catholic. Many years ago I finished studies for Catholic priesthood but left prior to ordination. A little more than ten years ago, I realized I couldn't live an authentic and honest life as a gay man and remain a Roman Catholic. My most difficult decision was to leave.
Paul outlines for us what is love and what isn't. i prefer to read my bible and trust in God to guide me in working out my salvation with fear and trembling! i have a God fearing man in my life and i thank the Lord for giving me the grace to feel the love i never could except but could never forget! i digress in the end i will answer for me and you for you! i will seek the Lord and love whomever he puts in my way! Glory to God in the highest!
man portraits God as hateful! God spared Mary Magdalene from persecution! he wants us to love one another in grace and mercy! all man falls short of the glory of God! pay close attention to revelation, in the end he judges us by how we treat others more so than what we have done personally! this is shown when he separates the sheep from the goats! if a man or a congregation shuns a man on account of his sin then the measure they use shall be put to them also!
I hope you find that special person. I think it's great that you are staying faithful to the gospel. The Mormon church can really be a great place for gays, all they need to do is make some small changes, and these changes are coming I believe. The alternative is the gay community, which is totally secular and very promiscuous. Pushing people away from God is a bad policy.
@xenuburger what are those small changes, admit that you are gay, commit to never acting out on being gay and give up the priesthood, then you will be welcomed back. That out dont tell anyone you are gay. Live a lie.there is more then the secular and promiscuous life style out there, there are alot of gay people who live a committed monogamous lifestyle. I dont think anyone who is alive will see gays totally accepted into the church.

Religious people don't understand is you can't "train" a person to be straight. It's an individual taste. Just think of eating a a raw cow's brain...do you think you can be trained to enjoy it? Fuck no. We are born the way we are and people need to just accept that. Nobody is the same, nobody is perfect. The reason closed-minded people bash on homosexuals and bisexuals is because it's something they're not.
We're all human...people need to learn that. Live your life and stay out of others'.
I don't believe in god since I'm agnostic but I agree with you completely since if I had been raised in a mormon family I think I would be like you now. I think its wonderful you keep these things personal for yourself and don't let disagreements change the way you are.
The LDS church, has got it wrong. Roughly 3-8%of people have same-sex attractions. This is not a mistake, it is part of the natural order of things. God does not make mistakes, Gay people are not an error of nature but subverting ones feelings, for example entering into heterosexual marriage, is. I don't believe that God wants gay people to be devoid of the possibility love. God is not cruel, and the LDS church, forcing gay Mormons to chose between their faith and love is not doing God's will.
that sounds like a dilemma, but I admire your conviction, wanting to stay active in your church, and maintain your faith while still being true to yourself... that's quite commendable
David.. that is the name of the man i let get away n no im heart broken. but u r adorable. im working w/ mormons for the first time but i dont know anything about it.
@Yudanashi While I think many Mormons are actually concerned w/ gay people's souls & offer such advice w/ the best of intentions, the bottom line is that they can't face that the church's stand on homosexuality could be wrong. It's as if acknowledging that fact undoes the "perfection" of the church as a whole, & they mentally can't handle that. That's the threat gay people like us pose to the church. It's not that they believe it's perfect but that they NEED to believe. There is a difference.
Yudanashi, Despite what other LDS people might think of you, there is nothing wrong with you. Homosexuality is not a sin. Gay people are born that way. The key to happiness is accepting who you are and following your own dreams. As long as you stay in the LDS church, they will always try to make you feel guilty about following your own path in life.
If you check out the Topical Index at utlm.org you'll see that the church isn't what it claims to be.
@mike30701 The Utah Lighthouse Ministry was founded by Gerald and Sandra Tanner and both of them are just as anti-gay (or more so) than the Mormon Church so I wouldn't trust what the Tanners have to say about this issue. They're a couple of old homophobes who have built their religion on trying to disprove Mormonism. Most Evangelicals are anti-gay and there is no place for LGBT people in the Evangelical movement except for among minority Evangelical groups like Evangelicals Concerned.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I understand and believe everything you are going through. But people cant always choose or help what they are attracted to, but they can always help their actions. So the best thing to do is avoid pornography, date, women, fast and pray for help, read the scriptures, see your bishop, etc. And if you are really putting forth the effort, I think you will over come your struggle.
@bbradfordp I agree that you can't control who you are attracted to and that you can control your actions However I want to ask you why? Why, when you don't know me and don't know where I have come from in my life or where the Lord intends me to go, Why do you propose a line of action for me to "overcome" this struggle. Should it be overcome for me? I testify to you from the bottom of my soul that I feel that the Lord has told me I need to search for a husband. should I work to overcome that?
@Yudanashi Because I feel from the scriptures that men are for women. It was Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Steve. And I think that we are given trials to overcome them. But its up to you on your decision. I'm not telling you what decision to make. I just thought you didnt know how to deal with this, and I thought you wanted to get this behind you. But from this last comment, its sounds like you are content with it and dont want to change. So I will let you choose what you want to choose.
@bbradfordp The LDS Church has had a dismal & at times reprehensible track record in their dealings with their LGBT members especially since the late 1950's. It was during the 1960's and 70's that BYU did it's infamous witch hunts trying to root out gay people in any way possible and ruining their educational careers. Sometimes driving the gay member to suicide. The electric shock "therapy" and other horrific forms of aversion "therapy" were practiced by LDS psychotherapists at that time.
@Yudanashi - You write: "I testify to you from the bottom of my soul that I feel that the Lord has told me I need to search for a husband."
You feel? You feel? This is a matter of whether or not you accept modern revolation. If you do believe in and accept modern revolation, you will know the answer that the Lord wants you to know. If you don't accept modern revolation, you won't. It's just as simple as that.
@shooster11 Modern revelation does not say anything about homosexuality. The prophet Joseph (the greatest of all of the modern prophets) never said one word about it. Most of all Jesus was silent on the issue. The modern books of revelation (Book of Mormon, D&C, Pearl of Great Price) don't say a word about homosexuality. Even the limited statements in the Bible are subject to interpretation. The Spirit has witnessed to many gay LDS in support of their commitments to a same gender spouse.
@Yudanashi Hey honey, I was just wondering how staying in the LDS church is working? I grew up LDS, and am now 17, I put my foot down and decided to just do me, I believe that there is a much higher power, I won't put a name on it, but I can feel it there. I won't get into my whole speil, but I just wanted you to know I respect you so much for going with your heart, I love gays, which sounds weird, but they don't hit on me and most of the time you are all fantastic. Listen to your heart hun! :)
@Yudan:Even if you continue to go to Church you shouldn't take the Sacrament or participate in prayers, talks etc IF you ares engaged in immoral activities...that is, sex outside of marriage including w' the opposite sex. Don't you understand that you are playing with fire/the devil?! My heart goes out to ppl like you who are so 'blind' & lacking in understanding. We must work on strengthening the spirit so that it will overcome the physical/natural man part of our soul/selves Thought control!
@Yunginspirit I am not "blind" nor do I "lack in understanding" I just about guarantee that I have done more pondering and praying and research into this than you have. As has everyone who realizes they are gay.
@Yudanashi: Unfortunately you do not fully understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ or the meaning of Heavenly Father's great Plan of Happiness for mankind. To reach the highest level of the Celestial Kingdom one must strive to keep God's commandments, whether one is straight or gay & be married in the temple. We must ALL learn to control of our mental & physical urges in order to keep God's Laws & not sin--otherwise, daily repent. "No unclean thing can enter into the Kingdom of God." God Bless.
@Yunginspirit I do understand the gospel of Christ and have, within my own self, "settled" for less than exaltation. I am completely fine with the 2nd highest degree in the Celestial Kingdom wherein I will still be in the kingdom of glory wherein I can be with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. There is nothing in the gospel of Christ that bars a chaste gay man and his husband from entering the 2nd highest degree of the Celestial Kingdom.
@Yudanashi As I'm reading this conversation, I can't help but feel sorry for whoever this @Yunginspirit fellow is. I pray God guides him to the truth and gives him understanding. And as for you, God bless you. It's awesome that you've kept your faith despite what your church may say about it. I had the same dilemma, but I'm out, happy, and living with the Lord. No one else knows the plans God has for you, especially @Yunginspirit . Follow what God tells you and find that good husband out there.
@Yunginspirit Well, my heart goes out to those as ignorant as you are.Thought control? Are you a part of Big Brother? Or some other Orwellian organization that strides to extract every last bit of individuality from a person? Stop poisoning people with your words, and maybe start learning the meaning of acceptance. I think it would help you to become educated about homosexuals, and the gauntlet they carry.Their plight might be a little easier if people like you knew what they were talking about.
@Yudanashi: Unfortunately you are only fooling yourself a& others. Why on earth would you want to settle for 2nd best...or 3rd?. (Only God knows who will end up where.) Besides, the OT clearly states that a (unrepentant) man who beds down with another, as with a woman, is going to be in fiery hell (ad-libbing) not the 2nd heaven. No one wants anyone to end up there, not even I or the Lord. You Can control who you are attracted to...control your thoughts first & your actions will follow suit.
@Yunginspirit Why? Because I recognize my true nature and am fine with 2nd best. Also I don't want to have to shoulder the awesome responsibility of being a god. Being able to have the power to help people and choosing to not interfere. I could not do that. Thus I am fine with settling for the Celestial Kingdom by doing everything required to get there.
@Yudanashi: Sadly, a unrepentant person engaged in any kind of immoral lifestyle will Not be eligible to enter the Celestial kingdom at all, nor perhaps the Terrestrial (2nd degree of glory). He is not keeping God's moral laws. Don't kid yourself my friend...you have to take it up with the God of all. An abomination is just that...unfit for the Kingdom of God. Read Doctrine & Covenants to see how the Lord will judge mankind.
@Yunginspirit your first point needs a citation because the only ordinance needed is baptism to enter the CK. For you to claim that it isn't is giving yourself way too much power. I have never said it wasn't in God's hands but I trust and have faith in a God who will look at the life I was given and look at what I made of it. The barrier to entry varies from person to person, that is why it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
@Yudanashi: True, one needs baptism into Christ's true Church by an authorized priesthood leader in order to enter into the C.Kingdom-then one must continue to strive to Obey God's Laws & Commandments for the blessing/entry to be in force. What is the point in being 'baptized for the remission/removal of sin' if one continues to sin after receiving that holy ordinance? True repentance means 'giving up the sin,' whatever it may be.
@Yunginspirit Um, because it is about the renewing of those covenants and a determination to do God's will, not about being perfect after baptism. We are saved through the grace of God after all that we have done. I will have done everything in my power to follow God and grow to be like him if I find a husband whereas if I spend time trying to not do evil I will not be able to grow to be more like God.
@Yunginspirit And as for Abomination, the actual hebrew word is To'eba. Do you believe the bible as far as it is translated correctly? Because To'eba doesn't mena abomination, it means ritually unclean. And if you look at Leviticus 18 in context of the whole chapter and the culture of the Middle East it is clear that that part of the levitical code was prohibiting Male Temple Prostitution, who is that anything close to a monogamous gay marriage?
@Yudanashi: Sorry, but you can't try and rationalize and explain away God's Word. Why don't you fast and pray for a few days and ask Heavenly Father directly if anal sex with 2 guys is acceptable in His holy Kingdom? No doubt you will get an answer in the negative. But fortunately, He still loves the sinner very much, no matter what Kingdom he/she is heading for but hopes that eventually, as many as possible will end up where He is.
@Yunginspirit You are correct that you can't rationalize or explain away God's word. I didn't do such things. Instead I have worked within the framework of the bible being mistranslated (which we both believe) and examining the original hebrew. That is not rationalization but rather due diligence. In a revelatory church we should be working off of more than mistranslated scripture unless the word of God is otherwise. And I have prayed and asked him what I should do. He told me to find a husband.
@Yunginspirit Sadly your ad-libbing is way off. The KJV says that it is abomination which is used in the same context as unclean to serve in the temple much like a single male aged 31 cannot be a temple worker. Looking at the ancient hebrew and the context of the scripture in Leviticus it is much more likely that they are discussing Male temple prostitution, NOT monogamous same-sex marriages.
You can't control who you are attracted to, it is a part of your biology & culture cemented by age 5.
@bbradfordp You don't have a clue about a gay person's orientation. This young man's orientation is just as valid as a heterosexual's orientation. What you are proscribing is tantamount to a heterosexual being told to pray, fast and date those of the same sex in order to change his or her orientation to being gay. Reorientation "therapy" does not change a person's orientation. When a gay man fasts, prays, reads scripture, etc. to overcome his orientation he is just as gay as when he started.
@bbradfordp Please quit trying to counsel people on the internet. You obviously have no creditials to do so and are giving ignornant advice that is dangerous and counter-productive.
@bbradfordp Are you really saying what I think you are saying? Are you telling him he can become un-gay?You cannot help who you are attracted to.. I am straight, 17, raised LDS and have found it is BS... People don't just wake up and say hey you know what, I am going to be gay/lesbian! Sounds like a good idea. God doesn't damn people for those kinds of things, you can't help who you love. Get this through your sick head, being different, gay, isn't a struggle you can go to therapy and overcome!
You are so cool. I wish you well and hope you find happiness. Just don't think that the struggle is over if you've come out. Everyday there's new challenges and coming out isn't just a one time experience...take care!
Falling into promiscuousity and immorality will only make you feel worse in the end, eventhough you may not see it at first. Wait until you can get married to man, and then be in a monogamous loving relationship.
MONOGAMY IN MARRIAGE IS KEY
Satan will try and make you think that because the church institution rejected you, you no longer need to keep your values.
Keep what the church taught you, and remember Jesus is your savior, and that you are a child of God.
Obviously you know you have been gay your whole life and born that way, im a straight male but its doesn't take a lot to see pain. Nobody would "choose" that. I mean no offense but Mormons are a little bit on the crazy side. God should make nobody miserable.
im lds too alot of my friends are bi and i have some gay and lesbian friends and i love them all to death and honestly when someone of any of those orientations tell me of their sexuality it doesnt really phase me that much. im very happy youre still in the church and im glad that youre happy and i dont care what your sexuality is youre good and spiritual person i hope youll never be excommunicated from the church! love arp
Dallin H. Oaks said: The Church doesnt have a position on the causes of any of these susceptibilities or inclinations, including those related to same gender attraction. Those are scientific questions—whether nature or nurture—those are things the Church doesnt have a position on." People don't become homosexual by having evil thoughts... if that were true then all of the sinners on the earth (everyone except for Christ) would be a homosexual. get your facts Gay!
@Yudanashi The bible does. It isd a sin....you didn t choose to be gay, but you can choose wether to live like that or not. You were not born like that and people can change with Gods help and a good therapy.
OK zemejal If you are an RM and not currents excommunicated within the next year you will be. It is sad you let Satan tempt you in this way. Now one is born homosexual they get that way by not keeping there mind free from evil. I too am an RM 25 years ago. This is the true restored church as you know. But Homosexuality is a sin this will never change. So you have some choices to make either repent or suffer the punishment for your sin. I suggest you make your choice wisely.
I understand what you mean feeed, really, and I sincerely thank you for checking up, but you cannot understand how I feel at all, can you? Look, I don't intent to stay at the side of a God, abiding by commandments that make me miscerable; I cannot deny the God of all gods or anything, is just that I know how I feel, deeply, just like I got a testimony of the church. I have no sympathy for Satan, but I'm will not be a slave of the gods eighter!!!
I guess, people, think that become a god it's all about judging others, destroying everything that is different to you. I shall surpass all that, all comprehend all things, be "good" or "evil", be a "point of view", I mean to comprehend it all... I mean to be caring, loving, grateful... I shall not use God as a weapon to hurt others an uplift myself above everyone... You may say you take upon yourself the name of Jesus the Christ but you might be getting closer to Lucifer...
If as the church claims, there are many gods... if elements can be bended, if there are higher laws, if being with God means to be subject to his will and not being with the one I love the most... then forget it, I won't participate in any of that... I'll find the answers my own way, I'll find what this really is all about! Church members like you feeedomman may judge me, might consider me a enemy...
Hi! I'm an RM. I'm gay, and it was as hard as hell to accept myself... but I'm gay, with the same conviction as when I preached the church was restored... feeedomman... Outer Darkness may not be so bad if you are with the person you love... As for you, would you truly be eternally happy if you were to be with God and your wife in the celestial kingdom but not with your kids? What if they make, from the church's point of view, the wrong choices?
I am an RM. Took me a long time to figure out, the church was set up for straight people period. If you are gay don't stress out trying to fit into a straight church.
We are on a different path. Enjoy your life and don't be guilt ridden by an organization that works great for straight humans.
When I researched about Evergreen or whatever it's called, I felt like destroying them all. But I guess they just act according to what they think is right, just like us...
My bishop is actually a great man, today I went out to eat with him and we didn't talk about church but about work and my family and him and his family... The church sure needs more leaders like him n_n
Homosexuality is a perversion that makes a mockery of the act of procreation. Homosexuality will not be tolerated by God now or in the eternities and is in no way shape or form compatible with the exaltation in the celestial kingdom. Leviticus 20:13 [D & C 3:2 & Mormon 9:9 & Malachi 4:1] Sodom and Gomorrha where destroyed because of Homosexuality Jude 1:7. GOD WILL NOT CHANGE! So you have a choice stop your Homosexuality and repent or be burned when the evil is burned off this planet!!!
Fuck you you Psycho fuck Head. Your Going to hell! Are you upset about your own life? Cuz yo0u might be gay? are you homophobic;. by the way, if god is true, well i am sure he is thinking of you as a dumb fuck head.
No you are going to outer darkness if you do not repent of homosexuality as homosexuality is a sin! You can't change the fact that is is a sin or pressure the one true church to change! GOD WILL NOT CHANGE! You are the stupid one if you don't repent. Mark my words, you will be given a choice at the 2nd Coming repent or burn your choice I suggest you make the choice now. The is zero tolerance for Homosexuality in the Celestine Kingdom.
Also, Havent you heard Love is love, so i can love a man just the way you think i should love a woman. Love is love, just like forgiveness is forgiveness. And if your a mormon, well holy shit, you seem like a realy fucked up compared to the other ones i have met. Well i am a gay mormon, and i think i have been brain wahsed. It seems like your REALLY BRAIN WASHED!
OH! I FORGOT TO MENTION! What if one of your kids turned out to be gay? What would you do? Kick them out? try and make them str8? not want them anymore? what? And by the way, Being gay is obviously a natural act for some, just like bieng str8 is.
So what FEEEDOMMAN! Just because you have kids that doesnt mean your completely str8! Dumb ass! Your so sensitive, it seems like you may be covering up something in your own personal like, like your gay! And you shouldnt force a belief onto anyone cuz that is just a SIN ITSELF ! Dumbshit! By the way, How old are you?
You are the dumb one. Ok, your chice to have a buligerent attitude and chose not to repent and burn!!! You will be reminded that I warned you at the day of judgment. You wont be this buligerent when you get out of outer darkness.
@feeedomman Wake up ..........god is just a fairy tale........there is not any truth in all you believe.....the funny thing is when you die you will never know this because your brain and consciousness will simply rot away and your gone for ever.
To the person before me, u r way older than me and i'm out of the closet. I've been out for 3 years. When u do, u may regret it. But in the end whoever is close to u or says they love you will eventually come around and accept u for who u are. It's already happening with my super conservative mom. Do it sooner than later. U will regret it if u don't
Whereas I appreciate you wanting to "have your cake and eat it too", it does seem like you are bound for more heartache and pain for you and those who love you. I fail to see your "need" other than being unable to let go of what you know to be wrong. There are many religious organizations (churches) that will accept you exactly as you are. It is very sad to me that you insist on being where you are not wanted just because you were "raised and trained" there. You are in my prayers.
so true! omg the thing is that im not out yet. I am only 20 years old though and im repeating another year in uni
but seriously? my cousin keeps disturbing me saying things like "hey how is ur girlfriend doing?" when i dont have one! and he wants to no a lot about my sex life! >_> i dont know what to do! what should i say? i cant b too honest or he may b suspicious! or am i too paranoid as a closet case? i really wanna come out but i cant due to finincial issues and fear of being kicked out lol
How have your parents been doing with this? Do you have siblings? How about them? If you can't handle the church anymore, we Jews would love to have you join us !!
omg i hate my parents sometimes! they think mormons are an evil sect CLAIMING to b christians and are really bad people of a secret cult that are like evil people and bleh! i so dont believe that i think a lot of morons can actually b very sound and nice people. who also believe in God and jesus just like other denominations of christianity! but yeh i just hate them they are so conservative! lol nice seeing u again! love u! xD
Please excuse the apparent ignorance of this comment. However I must ask.
Why would you want to be apart of a church that threatens you with ex-communication(lets not go to deep here) for something proven to be natural? Maybe because the church has been in my past for a long time now I don't understand, but to me it seems like you are a black guy struggling to stay in the KKK.
Welcome back to the vid realms :-) Best of luck with that church activity.. Quite sure they are UNworthy of your presence, but, atleast they shall have a fine reference of the community from you.. and your partner, when that time arrives. :-)
If u "need" a church, and are LGBT/Gay....join the UCC..The United Church of Christ..I myself have gotten totallo away from ALL Organized religions....I just wanna be a decent person on the planet earth as I live and Breathe.
You do indeed have a long road ahead. I am a Nazarene who had to leave the church because they just could not accept me or tolerate me for that matter. However, I have not lost me faith and continue to have a daily and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. My goal is still to find a church where i can worship and be open with my brothers and sisters in christ. You are awesome, you are helping break the streotype that Homosexuals and Christians are mutualy exclusive. Keep up the good work.
there are no excuses needed for being gay.
but there is no excuse for being a mormon.
Meskiagkasher 2 weeks ago 2

Brainwashed. For your own good I hope they do excommunicate you... then you'll see what fucked up bigoted weirdo's they are.
Nothing against Mormonism in particular... I have a problem with any retarded religion that views gays in the way that Mormons (Christians/Muslims, etc) do.
You're so brainwashed.

After a long struggle in the LDS church this person never overcame.
meanoboy 3 months ago
@TheUktruth It would be like telling you that it is a sin to date the opposite sex and that you had to stop. Being attracted to the same sex is brain wiring. Not every brain is perfect when created. Some brains are smart some are dumb. Some can't even tie their shoes. Your telling me that the 1 out of 20 people are damned to hell because god gave them that brain? About 1 out of 20 people have Same sex attraction. Yes the statistics are about that high.
meanoboy 3 months ago
@TheUktruth what a load of crap...are you actually serious? So when you were born, and grew in to a sexually active person, did you choose who you were naturally attracted too? I am sorry to say but if you actually believe this drivel then you have some mental issues that should be addressed. It is also people like you that can be a direct contributor to youth taking their own lives over this issue, and you should be ashamed. It is not to late for YOU to change, take your own advice.

FighterOfWhatsRight 7 months ago
FighterOfWhatsRight 7 months ago
I don't know you're background, but from doing research, I've learned that many homosexuals were friends with the opposite gender at a young age so because of that they gain a sexual attraction to the gender they're not friends with: the same gender. I know that this is a role in determining sexuality because I see it in myself, so what the people said on the articles I've seen is true...
FighterOfWhatsRight 7 months ago
... so since homosexuals can't do sexual action for creation, the only other option is for pleasure, which is why it's wrong no matter what for homosexuals to act upon those feelings, but not heterosexuals since they can create and not necessarily be doing it for pleasure, but if they are, that is sin still, because it is abusing the powers of pro-creation that God granted us if we use it for pleasure.
FighterOfWhatsRight 7 months ago
I would encourage you to not act upon any attraction you have to guys, for it is sin to act, but attraction is not. Really, I've sort of cone to believe to do any sexual action for the feel of it or the feeling you get out of it, is wrong. And the powers of creation are not meant for sexual pleasure, whether you're heterosexual or homosexual...
FighterOfWhatsRight 7 months ago
Usually when you come to the age of puberty, you gain a sexual attraction to the gender you have yet to have an emotional attraction to, or in other words are friends with. When I was young I didn't feel accepted by anyone, so I wasn't emotionally attracted to anyone, thus became sexually attracted to both genders, for a short time. But I did become emotionally attracted to(became friends with) guys eventually, and the sexual attraction went away, and haven't had it since to guys, only to girls
FighterOfWhatsRight 7 months ago
I'm sorry you have same-gender attraction, but to let you know it IS possible to change. I am a Mormon who has. Only I caught it at an early age when it was easier to change. I was a bisexual though, between the ages 12-14. However, I prayed honestly for help to rid myself of any of the homosexual feelings, and I also got an emotional attraction to guys. Which is different than a sexual attraction. I'll explain further in my next comment.

My most difficult decision was to leave.

man portraits God as hateful!
12121973ful 1 year ago
I hope you find that special person. I think it's great that you are staying faithful to the gospel. The Mormon church can really be a great place for gays, all they need to do is make some small changes, and these changes are coming I believe. The alternative is the gay community, which is totally secular and very promiscuous. Pushing people away from God is a bad policy.
xenuburger 1 year ago

Edster73 1 year ago
Yudanashi, Despite what other LDS people might think of you, there is nothing wrong with you. Homosexuality is not a sin. Gay people are born that way. The key to happiness is accepting who you are and following your own dreams. As long as you stay in the LDS church, they will always try to make you feel guilty about following your own path in life.
If you check out the Topical Index at utlm.org you'll see that the church isn't what it claims to be.
mike30701 1 year ago
@mike30701 The Utah Lighthouse Ministry was founded by Gerald and Sandra Tanner and both of them are just as anti-gay (or more so) than the Mormon Church so I wouldn't trust what the Tanners have to say about this issue. They're a couple of old homophobes who have built their religion on trying to disprove Mormonism. Most Evangelicals are anti-gay and there is no place for LGBT people in the Evangelical movement except for among minority Evangelical groups like Evangelicals Concerned.

I understand and believe everything you are going through. But people cant always choose or help what they are attracted to, but they can always help their actions. So the best thing to do is avoid pornography, date, women, fast and pray for help, read the scriptures, see your bishop, etc. And if you are really putting forth the effort, I think you will over come your struggle.
bbradfordp 1 year ago
@bbradfordp I agree that you can't control who you are attracted to and that you can control your actions However I want to ask you why? Why, when you don't know me and don't know where I have come from in my life or where the Lord intends me to go, Why do you propose a line of action for me to "overcome" this struggle. Should it be overcome for me? I testify to you from the bottom of my soul that I feel that the Lord has told me I need to search for a husband. should I work to overcome that?
Yudanashi 1 year ago 14
@Yudanashi Because I feel from the scriptures that men are for women. It was Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Steve. And I think that we are given trials to overcome them. But its up to you on your decision. I'm not telling you what decision to make. I just thought you didnt know how to deal with this, and I thought you wanted to get this behind you. But from this last comment, its sounds like you are content with it and dont want to change. So I will let you choose what you want to choose.
bbradfordp 1 year ago
@bbradfordp The LDS Church has had a dismal & at times reprehensible track record in their dealings with their LGBT members especially since the late 1950's. It was during the 1960's and 70's that BYU did it's infamous witch hunts trying to root out gay people in any way possible and ruining their educational careers. Sometimes driving the gay member to suicide. The electric shock "therapy" and other horrific forms of aversion "therapy" were practiced by LDS psychotherapists at that time.
Rockymtntruth 1 year ago
@Yudanashi - You write: "I testify to you from the bottom of my soul that I feel that the Lord has told me I need to search for a husband."
You feel? You feel? This is a matter of whether or not you accept modern revolation. If you do believe in and accept modern revolation, you will know the answer that the Lord wants you to know. If you don't accept modern revolation, you won't. It's just as simple as that.
shooster11 1 year ago
@shooster11 Modern revelation does not say anything about homosexuality. The prophet Joseph (the greatest of all of the modern prophets) never said one word about it. Most of all Jesus was silent on the issue. The modern books of revelation (Book of Mormon, D&C, Pearl of Great Price) don't say a word about homosexuality. Even the limited statements in the Bible are subject to interpretation. The Spirit has witnessed to many gay LDS in support of their commitments to a same gender spouse.

Yudanashi 10 months ago
@Yudanashi: Unfortunately you do not fully understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ or the meaning of Heavenly Father's great Plan of Happiness for mankind. To reach the highest level of the Celestial Kingdom one must strive to keep God's commandments, whether one is straight or gay & be married in the temple. We must ALL learn to control of our mental & physical urges in order to keep God's Laws & not sin--otherwise, daily repent. "No unclean thing can enter into the Kingdom of God." God Bless.
Yunginspirit 9 months ago
@Yunginspirit I do understand the gospel of Christ and have, within my own self, "settled" for less than exaltation. I am completely fine with the 2nd highest degree in the Celestial Kingdom wherein I will still be in the kingdom of glory wherein I can be with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. There is nothing in the gospel of Christ that bars a chaste gay man and his husband from entering the 2nd highest degree of the Celestial Kingdom.

SoraSayWhat 9 months ago
@Yudanashi: Unfortunately you are only fooling yourself a& others. Why on earth would you want to settle for 2nd best...or 3rd?. (Only God knows who will end up where.) Besides, the OT clearly states that a (unrepentant) man who beds down with another, as with a woman, is going to be in fiery hell (ad-libbing) not the 2nd heaven. No one wants anyone to end up there, not even I or the Lord. You Can control who you are attracted to...control your thoughts first & your actions will follow suit.
Yunginspirit 9 months ago
@Yunginspirit Why? Because I recognize my true nature and am fine with 2nd best. Also I don't want to have to shoulder the awesome responsibility of being a god. Being able to have the power to help people and choosing to not interfere. I could not do that. Thus I am fine with settling for the Celestial Kingdom by doing everything required to get there.
Yudanashi 9 months ago
@Yudanashi: Sadly, a unrepentant person engaged in any kind of immoral lifestyle will Not be eligible to enter the Celestial kingdom at all, nor perhaps the Terrestrial (2nd degree of glory). He is not keeping God's moral laws. Don't kid yourself my friend...you have to take it up with the God of all. An abomination is just that...unfit for the Kingdom of God. Read Doctrine & Covenants to see how the Lord will judge mankind.
Take heed and be blessed.
Yunginspirit 9 months ago
@Yunginspirit your first point needs a citation because the only ordinance needed is baptism to enter the CK. For you to claim that it isn't is giving yourself way too much power. I have never said it wasn't in God's hands but I trust and have faith in a God who will look at the life I was given and look at what I made of it. The barrier to entry varies from person to person, that is why it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
Yudanashi 9 months ago
@Yudanashi: True, one needs baptism into Christ's true Church by an authorized priesthood leader in order to enter into the C.Kingdom-then one must continue to strive to Obey God's Laws & Commandments for the blessing/entry to be in force. What is the point in being 'baptized for the remission/removal of sin' if one continues to sin after receiving that holy ordinance? True repentance means 'giving up the sin,' whatever it may be.
Yunginspirit 9 months ago
@Yunginspirit Um, because it is about the renewing of those covenants and a determination to do God's will, not about being perfect after baptism. We are saved through the grace of God after all that we have done. I will have done everything in my power to follow God and grow to be like him if I find a husband whereas if I spend time trying to not do evil I will not be able to grow to be more like God.
Yudanashi 9 months ago

Good luck to you.

@Yunginspirit GOd put the prostate (g point) in the ass man for a reason!!! :)

Yudanashi 9 months ago
@bbradfordp You don't have a clue about a gay person's orientation. This young man's orientation is just as valid as a heterosexual's orientation. What you are proscribing is tantamount to a heterosexual being told to pray, fast and date those of the same sex in order to change his or her orientation to being gay. Reorientation "therapy" does not change a person's orientation. When a gay man fasts, prays, reads scripture, etc. to overcome his orientation he is just as gay as when he started.

@bbradfordp fasting, praying and reading scriptures helps nothing but feed the ignorant influence that is organized religion.

You are truly a kind and humble person. I in large part share your struggle; I, too, remain Mormon. Kudos, young lad. You're not alone.

You are so cool. I wish you well and hope you find happiness. Just don't think that the struggle is over if you've come out. Everyday there's new challenges and coming out isn't just a one time experience...take care!

Hi, That must be very interesting to try to live Gay and Mormon.
I liked the last person's response, "Keep what the church taught you, and remember Jesus is your savior, and that you are a child of GOD."
I couldn't have said it better
margietyrrell 2 years ago 2
This is my advice.

Yudanashi 2 years ago
@Yudanashi The bible does. It isd a sin....you didn t choose to be gay, but you can choose wether to live like that or not. You were not born like that and people can change with Gods help and a good therapy.
Good luck
Arielcohen1980 1 year ago
OK zemejal If you are an RM and not currents excommunicated within the next year you will be. It is sad you let Satan tempt you in this way. Now one is born homosexual they get that way by not keeping there mind free from evil. I too am an RM 25 years ago. This is the true restored church as you know. But Homosexuality is a sin this will never change. So you have some choices to make either repent or suffer the punishment for your sin. I suggest you make your choice wisely.
feeedomman 2 years ago
I understand what you mean feeed, really, and I sincerely thank you for checking up, but you cannot understand how I feel at all, can you? Look, I don't intent to stay at the side of a God, abiding by commandments that make me miscerable; I cannot deny the God of all gods or anything, is just that I know how I feel, deeply, just like I got a testimony of the church. I have no sympathy for Satan, but I'm will not be a slave of the gods eighter!!!
zemejal 2 years ago
I guess, people, think that become a god it's all about judging others, destroying everything that is different to you. I shall surpass all that, all comprehend all things, be "good" or "evil", be a "point of view", I mean to comprehend it all... I mean to be caring, loving, grateful... I shall not use God as a weapon to hurt others an uplift myself above everyone... You may say you take upon yourself the name of Jesus the Christ but you might be getting closer to Lucifer...
zemejal 2 years ago
If as the church claims, there are many gods... if elements can be bended, if there are higher laws, if being with God means to be subject to his will and not being with the one I love the most... then forget it, I won't participate in any of that... I'll find the answers my own way, I'll find what this really is all about! Church members like you feeedomman may judge me, might consider me a enemy...
zemejal 2 years ago
Hi! What if they make, from the church's point of view, the wrong choices?
zemejal 2 years ago
I am an RM. Took me a long time to figure out, the church was set up for straight people period. If you are gay don't stress out trying to fit into a straight church.
We are on a different path. Enjoy your life and don't be guilt ridden by an organization that works great for straight humans.
tamshai 2 years ago 2
You are quite right!

Cuz yo0u might be gay? are you homophobic;. by the way, if god is true, well i am sure he is thinking of you as a dumb fuck head.
vanillavelocity1992 2 years ago

It seems like your REALLY BRAIN WASHED!
vanillavelocity1992 2 years ago
OH! I FORGOT TO MENTION! What if one of your kids turned out to be gay? What would you do? Kick them out? try and make them str8? not want them anymore? what? And by the way, Being gay is obviously a natural act for some, just like bieng str8 is.
vanillavelocity1992 2 years ago
NO I AM NOT GAY NOR HAVE I EVER BEEN GAY!!!! I am a father of 2 children.
feeedomman 2 years ago
So what FEEEDOMMAN! Just because you have kids that doesnt mean your completely str8! Dumb ass! Your so sensitive, it seems like you may be covering up something in your own personal like, like your gay! And you shouldnt force a belief onto anyone cuz that is just a SIN ITSELF ! Dumbshit! By the way, How old are you?
vanillavelocity1992 2 years ago

U will regret it if u don't
ghaslerud 2 years ago
Whereas I appreciate you wanting to "have your cake and eat it too", it does seem like you are bound for more heartache and pain for you and those who love you. I fail to see your "need" other than being unable to let go of what you know to be wrong. There are many religious organizations (churches) that will accept you exactly as you are. It is very sad to me that you insist on being where you are not wanted just because you were "raised and trained" there. You are in my prayers.
