I have 1.2.3, and it works for me, lonemccracken. check the ticks on your repeaters.. if that doesn't work make sure you positioned the steps correctly (I messed up one :P).. finally, make sure that once you step on the pressure plate you don't press anything on the keyboard or it screws up the chain of events.

I can't make it work, personally when i place the redstone it becomes one single little dot, instead of a fourway leading. but putting a villager in the machine makes him fly up, when i try i get stuck in the middle. i have tried changing the repeaters tick, but didn't work, am i supposed to change anything in the bottom?

@darhaxor The redstone being in the dot doesn't matter. The texture was changed in 1.0.0. But if you are getting stuck, check your repeaters, especially right around where you get stuck. If one repeater is off by ONE TICK, it won't work.

@DHGameStudios yeah there are a couple changes with redstone but this still works, id first check that the repeater under it is clicked once and then check all the other repeaters to check that they are still set at spawn time

Unfortunately, this design, ingenious as it is, does not seem to work in multi-player.

@TeamSociallyAwkward It really depends on the server, and how much ram the server has. It's hit and miss. Some people though have said by changing all of the repeaters to another tick setting made it work. Maybe try that.

I did it in single player (works perfectly) and I did it in my favorite server today. I had to tweak it a lot in the server, because of the lag I got stuck between the stairs. After changing all the repeaters that go to the pistons to "2" and then in the "control room" under the elevator I changed the 2 repeaters to "2". Actually I'm not sure, maybe the left one is on 2, and the right on 3, but it works in multiplayer!

Instructions:

1.Go with your back inside.

2. Hold A and D.

3. Should work.

@Ninjasimmo Check the repeaters and torches at the top. If you leave all repeaters set at default, it will be at the fastest setting. So make sure you haven't set them to two.

@Theshortfulone Check and make sure that all of your repeaters are set at the same amount of ticks. One repeater being off by one tick will make that happen.
