Number one problem with Canadian economy is personal credit card debts. Last I heard it was something like every Canadian owes $22,000 in credit debts. No government asked people to get themselves into credit debts. Canadians have become greedy and selfish. And the ones in most debt are bitching and crying that the government isn't helping them. What I want to do is careful diplomatic maneuvers designed to bring Canada either more in line with organizations like the Commonwealth states, or to work towards more freedom in policy from the US. Death to the Little Satan! I just returned from Israel two weeks ago. I did not see an apartheid state. It seemed as pluralistic as any other developed state I have visited. Ahmedinejad has expressed his desire to see the entire state of Israel destroyed on more than one occasion. I have yet to see an Israeli leader propose anything more than destroying Iran's nuclear facilities. When Iran stops supporting Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iraqi insurgents maybe I'll start seeing them as the victim.

Iran supports Hamas&Hezbollah because they fight the illegal occupation of their countries by the Israelis. Its like the support the USA gave to Bin Laden when the Soviets occupied Afganistan.

They don't have the rights of Israelis because they are under the Palestininian Authority. It's a convoluted sytem, but they have representation.
It's been 42 years since the 6 day war which was intitiated by Arab states. At what point to the countries the territories formerly belonged to accept their losses?
The US also allied with the USSR during WWII. They were dicks, but you choose the lesser of two evils like we did with the Mujahideen.

According to International Law you cannot keep territory acquired through war. This would only encourage hostile nations. All Israeli settlements on occupied territory are illegal. The Israelis don't care, and the USA lets them get away with it. This is hypocrisy that the rest of the world sees and resents. All the talk of the rule of law and respect for human rights on the part of the USA is b.s. Its no wonder the rest of the world has little respect for the US government.

First, international "law" does not really exist. The Iraq War violated international "law" yet Bush has yet to be arrested and no sanctions have been applied to the US, nor were any proposed.
Second, put yourself in Israel's shoes. You border Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan and your state is roughly the size of New Jersey. If they attacked you would you not claim their territory to deter future attacks. The "international community" sort of dropped the ball during the Holocaust.
