@MrRdbrig -- Lots of people seem to be bothered by me riding my bicycle and making videos, so I've stopped doing it, despite the fact that it's proven to be perfectly safe.
@X1danno1 -- Thanks. Yes, I actually recorded the video while riding my bike. My schedule is very busy, so I don't have too much time to sit around and make videos at home. So, I thought I'd make videos while riding. It's actually not as difficult (or dangerous) as it might appear.

Today my dad bought this printer, we started to set it up and soon found out that the cartridges did not fit, all instructions said we need model 364 carts and that's what was supplied. After an hour of fiddling around, realized something was not right, after further research we realized the carts we needed were model 564, contrary to all instructions, the HP website even confirmed this. I am confused by this, has this happened to anybody else?
@iExD -- I've been getting this reaction from many of the don't drink and ... crowd. As you know, many people are upset about texting or talking on the phone while driving. I find that making videos while riding a bicycle, or driving a car, is safer than talking to someone next to you. With the iPhone as a video recorder, it's possible to use the device in a heads-up-display capacity similar to what jet airplane pilots use.
@resourcesforlife Yea, I know. It is creative but.. be careful ^^. Time to get onto printer... The only thing this printer is preventing me from getting one is the fax function. It has no fax function. I did heard of the big brother of this but way too expensive. The only reason I want fax on this is just to be ready.. in case... If I was sure to never use fax at all, i would buy this in a heartbeat! =D...
@iExD -- If you're looking for a multifunction device, including fax, I'd suggest going to Office Depot or Staples to see what they have in stock. I've seen some nice Brother brand devices that fax and scan with good quality and speed. Otherwise, you can get an HP with fax capabilities.
@resourcesforlife Im in the same boat, but best bang for buck thi was the best so I had to overlook the fax machine funtinality. After all I got this printer for $79.99 Can.
This seems to be a nice printer - except for one huge drawback for small businesses. As a practical matter this printer does not print envelopes. I spent an hour on the phone with HP regarding this issue. Bottom Line: Prints thin white #10 envelopes only. (No self-stick envelopes. No colored envelopes. No envelopes with textures. No kraft envelopes. No booklet size or any size except #10. No envelopes with imprinted text or logos).
@scmi11er -- I've had about 9 months now to really use the printer. I've uncovered a few challenges. Sometimes when using the wireless connection, I go to scan something, and it says the device can't be found. Then I need to go and select the device again. This may be because I have one at home and one at work.
@scmi11er -- Another drawback seems to be that the ink levels are reported as declining quite fast. I don't really do much printing at all, so I'm skeptical about the accuracy of the reporting. Also, some HP printers won't let you print if the ink levels are thought to be low. I've learned to force the draft black-only mode. That helps a bit.
@scmi11er -- This may be, in part, because printers usually ship with sample ink cartridges that have very little ink in them. I wonder if they could have been partially dried out. Some printers run through a priming cycle or cleaning cycle at certain intervals (or when powered on). For example, every time a computer is turned on that seeks the printer, it is awakened. I'm wondering (in my case) if this is why there is a rapid depletion of ink.
@resourcesforlife I don't know why the ink cartridges run low so fast. But it is something HP needs to fix if they want to keep their customers happy.
@scmi11er -- What's disappointing to me is that I had high hopes for this printer. I purchased it on the "good-will" premise that HP was promising in their advertising of lower cost printing due to $10 ink cartridges. Later I read the fine print and realized that the $10 cartridges are low capacity. If you actually go out and buy the high capacity ones, they cost over $100 to refill. And with an unexplainable depletion of ink even when the printer is not used, this gets expensive.
@scmi11er -- Also... I went to replace the ink cartridges. There is one black and four photo cartridges including a photo black. The cost is over $100 and they run out fairly quickly. Other than these drawbacks, it's a great printer. I really like touch interfaces when done properly. This is the main reason I was drawn to the printer.
hey bozo...don't you think riding a bike while reviewing might draw peoples away from the actual review!

@dougiedocious -- Very strange about the wrong cartridges being installed. I usually buy the 564XL (extra capacity) cartridges. They work fine.

I don't print much so this will work fine. Its on sale for $79.99(refurbished) at CompUSA in Chicago.

@resourcesforlife Same here. The "low ink" reminders began appearing only days after getting the printer.

@resourcesforlife Yes, gouging us on ink cartridges is not the best way to gain repeat customers, IMHO.
