I listened to this soundtrack while I read the book. Setting it right it fit nearly perfectly. The book is ten times more chilling and haunting than the movie. Some parts, my eyes were as wide as saucers. Some parts, while they were running, my eyes would run through the words and my heart just as quickly. Some parts I could barely read through my tears. The movie is great but read the book... with the soundtrack... you will never forget.
This movie really shows how circumstances can reveal what kind of person an individual actually is--with the world's glossy veneer of civilization stripped away, down to its primal nature, what kind of person are you?
Would you be one of those people on the truck? Maybe the thief at the beach, or the man with bow and arrow? Or perhaps the father, or the family man at the end of the movie?
When you're starving, thirsty and cold, what are you willing to put aside to survive?
I suffer from depression, when I walk alone at night from my job to my house (I live alone) I listen to this music and it strangely cheers me up even though its quite a sad song. It has feeling and beauty
@warwick2155 You are not alone :) your Thoughts make you feel alone... What are your thoughts are your feelings... you think you feel alone. think differently and youl be different.
@brb941 I cried because I knew exactly what was going to happen. I just wasn't ready to accept it. Until the Veteran showed up, I was scared for the Boy. I felt all this despite having read the book and knowing full well how it ended.
@hilaryduffok ...actually this song can be found in the movie, as the Father is about to throw that ring off the bridge, and he recalls the last time he saw the Mother, before she disappeared in the darkness of the night...probably the best scene in the movie, and this music fits it perfectly
i hv seen this movie few times , and i must say this movie made me cry , both actors specialy the boy acted so well, but in the end i dont want to watch this kinda movie which made me cry.lolz
I think this is my favourite track no the OST, it has references to the vast solitude of other tracks, but has an inspiring overture, representing that hope still exists
i picture mathmatics when i hear this

@LevyCore What he means is that he doesn't want to change a single thing about the world if it means not being with the person he cares for.
