I happened to attend a musical concert of this great artist in Bhopal last month. He is a great Tabla maestro with immense talent . Moreover, he performed various rythem themes like Dholak Thaap, African Drums, Pop rythem etc.with great skill and perfection. I salute to this great artist.

I experienced a bengali tabla player (my teacher) accompany a Marathi abhang. It was great but not quite there due to the difference in rendition. Ustad Tari khan is great cause he can do all that stuff, as great as any tabla player who can do all that stuff. Not many but there is no love lost.

Anindoda is quite the encyclopedia of tabla and very nice human being as well. However, you will lose credibility with any educated tabla player with comments like this. Tari bhai has classical knowledge. Pandit Anindo Chatterjee is good, but somewhat junior to the likes of Ustad Tari Khan and Ustad Zakir Hussain. Anindoji is Farukhabaad, but his lineage is traced back to Ustads of Punjab Gharana. So please don't comment unless you have the background knowledge.

Tari Khan has classical knowledge, yes, but no way near to what Anindo has, i didnt say he was not good, comercialy he is one of the best but in the pure art of tabla not better then Anindo, ive sat and watched him, when he gets happy and trys somthing classical he misstimes it or makes minor mistakes, ive also sat and watched Anindo and he is flawless, Doesnt matter what gharana u talk about its all about classical knowledge and how deep that background teaches it to you. . .
