Rep. Eshoo Speaks in Support of SCHIP

Congresswoman Eshoo is in the wrong place on this issue. SCHIP is totally flawed and provides coverage to children and young adults that should have coverage paid for by their parents. Democrats are totally wrong on most of these issues. She doesn't represent the Silicon Valley or the Peninsula well.

I am a 77 year old woman living on Social Security and a pension. Why are you making an old woman in the winter of her life pay health insurance for the children of soccer moms with McMansions and SUV's and $80,000 a year incomes?

Dear RepAnnaEshoo,

I find your argument for this legislation compelling, though prior to watching this video I have viewed others on the topic, and a few questions have been raised in my mind.

Is it true that all of the funding for more children obtaining health insurance will come from tobacco taxing? If not entirely how much?

I doubt this would encourage smoking like some ads have expressed, but I do think if it could discourage smoking which would hurt funding, plus it seems just ...
