The TV used to show A LOT in the 90s. IDK if anyone else saw, but I SWEAR I have seen real shit on there that became parts of movies in the 2000s. Blair watch and a scene from SIGNS with alien in S. America thru window.

Despite the perennially intriguing Patterson film, I'm more inclined to think that the Yeti's a more plausible possibility. The prospect of a relic hominid population isn't that extreme, given a secure enough environment to historically allow it to survive and currently sustain it.
Even though I don't discard the possibility of an unknown hominid out of hand (especially the Yeti), the comparison with the failure to locate D.B. Cooper (or more likely, his corpse) isn't exactly the best: we may not have found him but we've a tad evidence to support the existence of his species ; ) Still, you're right; it's not clever to maintain a closed mind with a mystery this enduring
