@Hailingflames The captivate is being constricted by the AT&T corporation; you won't be able to download ANY third party apps. Look at CNET.com for better explanations... same thing occured with AT&T's other Android phone, the Moto Backflip.

I've never had a problem with the phone muting my calls. When you put the phone up to your face, the screen cuts off to prevent things just like that. And when you pull the phone away from your face, the screen cuts back on.
