The original song was quite certainly the one used for the Japanese series Rurouni Kenshin, performed by JUDY AND MARY.

They translated it for the English release. Sandy Fox was the singer for that version.

So this is a remake of a translation of the original.

Well this version in general is different from the english...xD. I thought you meant the original version of The DDR Freckles, xD.

The lyrics in this song are different from the ones on the anime.

English Freckles is short as all heck. I should try and find a full version if it exists. The Japanese one is like 4-5 Minutes.

Then there's this version. It's cool, I like it. ^_^
