Normally for the sound, I record the normal video in RAW, then re record the gameplay in the .avi form and swap audio.

u always have to know how to handle your weps, but in generall m4 is more effective than p90 cause u can also use it on higher distances!

you can make them with the demosmoother its including in the game when u open the demo and typ into the console the command "demoui" and there is that demo smoother too. look for some tutorials on youtube for it

It was a different zombie mod as is, but the particular point was the guy was nailing headshots every time because of the bad AI paths.

True though, most zomb mods these days take ridiculous amounts of ammo to kill'em.

You need Counter-Strike Source, which you might be able to get if you have HL2 for a reduced rate (I dunno, personally). There's various zombie-based mods for CSS. In terms of "real zombie mods for HL2DM" I'd highly suggest Zombie Master, which I find awesome.

I recorded a demo in spectator on a public server of some random player (got lucky, I guess), then recammed it using the HL2 demo tools, to give all the various camera angles. That answer yer Q? :)

This is the BEST vid ever!! what program did you use to record it after demoing it? Also how did you get the good camera angles? where you recording through spec?

Source itself has a "startmovie" console command which, depending on its parameters (like "startmovie *name* avi") will record an avi file for you. To get the slowmotion/camera angles you have to use the demo playback edit tools, same with the camera stuff. Look up the Source SDK on Google and if you can find the Wiki you'll find demo playback tool tutorials. That and some troubleshooting should help ya figure it out. :)
