my temps are great(i.e no higher than 55C full)...but just cant get the OC Prime 95 Stable:(

Why don't you run the Ram and CPU unlinked in the BIOS.

That way you can rule out which is the problem.

Try using OCCT, if you can get it stable for 1hr straight on that, your pretty much done.

You might also need to up the V-core a bit more, what are you running your CPU at?

i have been running i unlinked and at 4Ghz with 1.6V it fails about 20mins into prime95..

everything else is fine i.e SuperPI, 3d Mark etc..

but just not stress testing:P

i have it at 3.6Ghz at the mo nad its 100% fine:P

That's really good.

Just try upping the V-core a bit more.

Because the temps are amazing at full load.

Some people have problems getting 3.6GHz stable at 1.58v, so just increase it a bit. You can only experiment.

If the temps are to high then you know, just stay at 3.6GHz.

But try hitting 3.7,8, 9, etc till you hit 4GHz. That way you'll know the best V-core.

my amd 64x2 5000+ at 2.6ghz with 2 gigs of ram,8800gt,500gig hd get's like a 9000 i think in 3dmark06 lol. and you get a 20000.

lol, intel sucks? its the same as amd, fanboy. I have a Q6700 and an amd phenom 9500 my phenom sux at OC'ing so does that mean amd sux? no it doesnt it just means that that type of chip isnt as good for OC'ing as I have had chips from amd in the past that are perfectly good OC'ing cpu's. Dont know intel just because you dont know what difference there is between amd and intel or that you happen to have an amd so you think intel sucks.
