  • Pure Class!

  • top ten of any 80s compilation

  • they take they,re name from a b-film, a truly great group. i.m not the man i used to be could refer to a lot of us who havent fulfilled there potential.

  • I think they are singing about their Tahitian roots or Samoan roots in the South Pacific and sort of telling us that they are human too--they have a heart too, kind of place . . . the land of cannibals!

  • one of the Greatest songs... i have ever heard... musically and lyrically...in my 43 years here.

  • -This video translates what it felt like to say goodbye to the 80's and hello to the 90's. The random raw snap shots of a photographer documenting memorable moments in time, and what better than in Black & White.

  • good so good,

  • Utter Class . . . :-)

  • possibly their finest song... (in my humble opinion) absolutely brilliant.

  • @mozzer9890

MY opinion is MORE humble than yours.

  • @mozzer9890 no argument here. one of the absolute best albums (top-to-bottom) money can buy.

  • @mozzer9890 ..oh, no doubt!! This song is superb, I have not listened to this for at least 15 years and I stumbled across it on YouTube. I love that drum shuffle, it is a sample of a drum break, but I cant remember what the original is.

  • @coltsuperocean10 youtube the amen break. used a lot in drum and bass at a different speed. can t remember the name of the creator off the top of my head but this search will find it for you

  • Top tune, top band.

  • Roland Gift is truely a gift we will never get back.

  • Thank you for uploading, FYC deserve more recognition, they were there with me all the way while I was growing up and a superb UK band who did make it in the US with a few of their Hits.

They deserve more than the obscurity they seem to have fell into.

Youtube Copy right better leave this be !!

  • Roland Gift= Superb

  • pura chingoneria

  • This is proper music kids, nit this Lady gaga, Justin bieber fucking shit.

  • The story of my life.

  • I can't find the song that had the lyrics "I've been too long in this institution." It was one of my favorite songs during grad school. LOL I don't know whether that was the title or not. Anybody know where I can find it? Thanks.

  • @Baritone45 now y've got me intrigued, i have the faintest of recollections of that line, esp. wiv the posting being on this track. lemme know if you get a decent lead

  • ich hab da noch die Platte daheim... wenn einer weiss was ich meine, nur keinen plattenspieler!!!

  • Proper music from Birmingham City, unlike all this Luciferian promoting hogwash of today. Everything is dying today the society is slowly collapsing and being mind reframed to accepting the trash we have today from the movies, tv, radio and music etc. Everything is terrible today and we didn't know what we had until we lost it all. Bring back real music and talent.

  • Wow this brings back memories of when I was 23 living in Asia and having the time of my life.

  • Ahhh... Pure nostalgia, eh? Nostalgia was so much better back then.

  • 1989 changed music for all time!

  • 89 changed music for all time!

  • This album absolutely kicks ass!

  • 15 people don't know what music sounds like

  • The song that made the album, on the album that made the band, by the band that summed up the decade, in the decade that really ended the century.

If you didn't live through 1989, you have no clue. 9-11 had nothing on it as the time everything changed.

And somehow that was the music, that year.

  • @arsoys didn`t `good thing` chart higher, tho

  • oh puff diddy, saw that circus you called a family vacation? Well, give you time to work on a REAL song, your 1st. You could use this as an inspiration? They call this music, buy a book about it, you could learn. OK, after your 1st $100 Million is hard, but you can do it one time, MAYBE?

  • Yeah, P diddy sings, oh this is the song I wish I could DO? Lyrics, melody, and arrangement, "I'm not the man he ever was?"

  • Gotta love Sean "P Diddy" Combs at 0:44 dancing on the left in the white top. He's come a long way since then. 1989 was a great year. I graduated high school in 89.

  • is he single yet ? loved him from the start ! ever hopefull !!

  • @rocker801 haha

  • One's life experience inspires the title.

  • It sounds a bit like he sings "why do I love Chicken, why do I love chicken"

  • @MrL1mey he doesn't?!...

  • @MrL1mey HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I don't know how u came up with that... is it when he says: wonder why I'm drinking???
