20 years ago in a country which had given us Bowie, Punk, Goth and where Boy George, Divine, Frankie,Jimmy S.,Pete Burns ...were stars, then came the homophobic Section 28 passed by Thatcher and her stupid lot. Luckily Gays were ready to fight. Whatever minorities and country you are in, remember that Never are your rights granted Forever. Do not judge your neighbours as one day you may well be the recipient of one hateful Clause. Fight for your rights. Respect diversity! To GeorgeXX
I did the Rap on this song & At the time I had no idea what it was all about.I am American(That is me in the red Kangol Hat & The Blk&red Addidas Track Suit)....I was friends with Jeremy Healy who produced the track & he and George asked me to do it. Maybe because of my voice. It was mostly the voice...LOL!!!
When George explained it to me I thought wow! First of all I was honored to be working with George who despite how he was portrayed in the media, he was an icon and a very nice person.
Dearest, just read your comment on Boy George's song. You rock! It was an iconic track for the teenager I was at the time and it always will be one of greatest tracks. You did a very brilliant job on this. Respect to you and to all the people who have fought Ignorance and Prejudice. XxX
I would like to thank the makers of clause 28. If it had not been for you a whole generation of gay men would have never of stood up and fought for the much greater equality in the law that gay guys like myself enjoy today. I guess from your point of view it back fired somewhat. We won. You lost.
I am from Spain and I can´´t believe what you say...I thought Italy was a tolerant country...we in Spain can marry if we want!! I love your profile. You seem an interesting person. All the best LUIS JAVIER.
I first saw this video when I was sitting in the mess hall in the army in South Africa. I remember quietly cheering while trying to apear macho around all the straight boys. George, thank-you for standing up for us gays.
